The only way to judge the squads is the results on the pitch and its clear they were better than us over the season. We werent close to them - we werent even close to 5th.

I don't think Arsenal have a stronger squad than us.  Probably we're quite evenly matched, they finished ahead of us because they were more consistent over 38 games.  But factor into that we had a new manager and Coutinho/Sturridge didn't join til January.

Because we only signed Sturridge and Coutinho in January Mignolet, Aspas Luis Alberto and Toure in July

Sorry who have Arsenal signed since then.

The way you need to look at it Who from Arsenal would Get in Liverpools side. Then do it the other way around

If Suarez doesn't want to play for so be it. We should get the best deal possible for the club and send him on his way. Bigger and better players have left us. We may struggle on without him but we will do it together. No player is bigger than the club and I wouldn't want anyone playing for us who wasn't 100% all there.

Surely being more consistent over the season means they are better in some aspect compared to us? You can argue some players came in for us in January and improved the squad but even then we dropped quite a few points after Jan.

So consistency will show they are better surely ?

Would take two of their CB's , Wilshire , Podolski , Giroud , Carzorla , Monreal , Walcott , Oxlade ,

Utter tripe Benny.  Wilshire and Cazorla a definite yes. Walcott probably and same goes for Chamberlain.

I'd take any of our back four over theirs plus Gerrard, Suarez (ironically) and Mignolet/Reina would walk into their team.

The question was whether their squad is stronger and they have more depth at the top end of the field. Not much in it for me.

Giroud is a donkey.

This shows your lack of knowledge.

1) Monreal played less games than Gibbs last year so if you are to take LB then surely it would be gibbs?

2) So in a team of 11 you have Giroud Walcott Chamberlaine and Podolski. Playing 4 upfront and picking all four over Suarez who they want to buy.

In a team of 11 Id honestly pick

Mignolet

Johnson
Koscielny
Agger
Enrique

Gerrard
Santi Cazorla
Coutinho

Walcott
Suarez
Podolski

Thats 7 to 4 in our favour

Playing Football Manager eh Benny? Surely taking into account a new manager, new playing style and new playing stuff surely the consistencies will be affected. I honestly think that both teams are quite evenly matched and with some of our hungry young players slowly being roped in, I am quite sure in a couple of years time we will be in the top 4. (don't think we will have the financial muscle to challenge for the title as yet)

Honestly I am just so fed up with all these Suarez fiasco...sell him abroad for £50M but to a domestic rival for at least £55M. Forget about losing a talented players, we could use with a better TEAM and if the proceeds are invested wisely, we will end up with a much stronger team. I for one will not support an ungrateful git and money grabbing glory hunter, whichever shirt he ended up putting on...I just don't care no more. to an extend, the same goes for Reina...think he deserved to be loaned out, better for all parties!

GK - unsure until we see how Mignolet does

RB - Johnson
CB - Vermaulen
CB - Agger
LB - Monreal

CM - Wilshire
CM - Gerrard
CM - Carzorla

CF - Walcott
CF - Suarez
CF - Podolski

But the main point that shows the difference between the squads

Arsenal 4th
Liverpool 7th

And that won't change much this season

Benny are you picking Monreal on his form for Malaga or Arsenal?
