Oh FFS, this is exactly why we will remain cr@p as long as we have these useless owners and idiot MD. Why on earth would Manure give us any useful advice? that would be bad business, leaving aside the fact that they hate us as much as we hate them.
Why oh why can't some super rich Arab or Russian buy the club, its the only way we'll get back to the glory days now.

The reason we will remain ***** is because we have fans who think we aren't capable of being successful until some super rich Arab or Russian buy the club, and don't show proper support.  And it's not bad business if United were to help us out.  If we become stronger as a club, it means the league is more competitive.  When the league is more competitive, it's more interesting and more profitable.

I know many of us on here have such high educations and are much smarter than FSG, who have raised sports franchises and made millions and millions of dollars because THIS IS WHAT THEY DO.  They know what they're doing, and we can bitch about it on forums all they want, but no matter how you look at it they have done a lot of good for the club on the side we don't pay attention to.  Businesses talk to competing businesses, it benefits both sides.  Owners will talk to owners.  We need to stop acting like our owners are some spoiled kids who inherited a lot of money and decided to buy a football club, because that's not what happened.

I don't think mind control is that strong. Nice strawman though.

they`ve handled this particular suarez situation well and john henry travelled 2,000 miles to be (and speak) at the hillsborough memorial so credit where it`s due. maybe they are starting to get the hang of this footy lark.

Yeah good read.

I take comfort in the fact that FSG has a historical record of turning non profitable sports franchises into profitable and successful businesses. Red Sox being the prime example. I also like the fact that FSG is promoting self-sustinance regarding the financial operations of its entities. Some on here crave the Ambramovich style ownership yet fail to realise that Ambramovich's millions are interest-free loans to Chelsea FC, which begs the question what happens to the financial benevolence once Ambramovich calls it a day. Guess what - Chelsea own the debt.

I will happily trade slow progress and financial security than instant (plastic) success that is ladled with the risk of a benevolent owner getting bored and leaving the debt with the club.

FSG are operating LFC as a sustainable business and not as a candy store like Citeh or Chelsea. Dull but long term solid.

SouthCoast and Reg, you guys have a point here. FSG has long term plans for Liverpool and of course whatever course of action you take, there's no guarantee it will succeed. I can see what they're doing, signing and developing young players and hope they will be the stars of the future, be financially self sustaining, etc. It is a good alternative esp. if they are not sugar daddy owners nor will they ever intend to. So as fervent fans, we have no choice but to be patient and accept 2 or 3 more seasons finishing outside the top 4 but at least challenging for it. If we regress instead of progress, then fans should be demanding for their (BR's and FSG's) heads. Liverpool is still a world renowned club due to our rich history and we cannot accept a mid table finish every season, period. I can accept a 7th place finish and with much more points collected compare to last season due to BR's inexperience and his first season here, but I demand significant progress from him next season ie at least finish 6th and more than 61 pts earned.

where has this come from 'SSN' reporting that FSG deny  Liverpool FC is for sale? Sounds like the media want to make up all sorts about our club, but has anyone else heard or have further info about this..........
