He is as bad as the tabloid gossip papers.

Only last week he said there was no chance of Rafa going abroad.

hope your right but tbh the moment we didnt qualify for the CL i knew we`d have a job on our hands trying to keep him this summer. especially after scoring so many goals in a league thats tough to score in. we only just held on to him by the skin of our teeth last season.
if i was a betting man i`d say he`s off.

There is no doubt this summer will be a testing time for the club if serious offers come in for Suarez. I would love him to stay, however if the reported numbers (£35M - £40M) are correct then I can also see the club accepting an offer IF Suarez decides he wants out. I cannot see under any circumstances forcing him to honor his contract.

If he wants to go, I'd accept nothing less than 35 mill plus Xabi. Then hopefully we can spend the money on good and proven (at least to some extent) players. Not on Aspas' and the like.

Forget Xabi coming back - we need to move on , he is coming into the twilight of his career and will still want to play CL.

If Suarez was to go I would prefer a lot of money plus someone like Benzema or Higuain - someone to score the goals that we would lose.

I just hope the club are keeping quiet and have instructed Suarez to say nothing. If the situation is managed correctly and we keep Luis some fans will see it as almost signing a new player and the management team will earn some brownie points.

Got to say I will be pi.ssed if Luis goes. He owes us at least another season for all the sh.ite that he has been involved in. With him top 4 is possible if we buy a couple of Cortinho's in the summer !!!

You will have to one day - he will be 32 soon so his career will finish. He is currently playing first team for Madrid in CL ! He won't be coming back to us

Suarez ready to quit English football

Luis Suarez has suggested to Uruguayan radio station Sport 890 that the English press may force him out of Liverpool - and indicated he would be willing to sign for Real Madrid.

Suarez, 26, will serve out the remaining six games of the ten-game ban he was given by the Football Association for biting Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanoivc at the start of next season. He has also been accused of diving, not to mention the racism storm involving Patrice Evra which resulted in an eight-game FA ban.

The striker has regularly featured on the back pages of the English newspapers due to his poor disciplinary record, and he now says that could lead to him leaving the Premier League.

When asked if there was any truth in the stories linking him to Real Madrid, Suarez said: "The desire to win with the big clubs is always there. I've talked to my agent, there's nothing concrete. To say no to Madrid would always be difficult and more so with the team they have.

"I have a contract with Liverpool, but it would be very difficult to say no to Real Madrid. There are a lot of rumours in the transfer window, but you never know until firm offers are made.

"I'm happy at Liverpool. I'm happy because of the fans. I made a mistake, I'm human, but they've talked about me in ways they shouldn't have. My family have suffered and things got out of hand. My daughter and my wife have suffered. I'm not prepared to continue to put up with the English press.

"I love Liverpool, but if there is a chance of playing somewhere else... I suffered too much as a kid to get where I am to be attacked unfairly by the English press. They haven't appreciated me as a player, they've just judged my attitude."

So... Is there any point in trying to convince him to stay ? How much for him ? Who do we bring in to replace him ?

Around £60mil would do

No idea who we could attract to replace him.

If we lose Suarez then our club has really dropped.

He has now been quoted as saying he would find it difficult to say no to Real Madrid....

Well if that isn't a 'come and get me' message to Real then what is.

I now fully expect Luis to be sold in the summer. We will get some serious £££ for him and I have faith BR will invest it well. We need to play hardball on the Suarez thing though and ensure we get a suitable (or as near to) replacement. Gonzalo Higuan please

Those who backed the FA can now see what the consequences are of their wicked and spiteful actions
If he goes then he will have been forced out of english football
Fu'ck the FA!
