I don't know what these stats are telling me! (AND NO I WOULDN'T SELL HIM!)

Luis has now missed a total of 11 games due to being banned since joining Liverpool. We have won 7 drawn 2 and lost 2.That's 23 points from a possible 33. Those averages would get you nearly 80 points over the season. City will finish this season with less than 80 points !!! This year less than 75 points would get you a top four CL spot. But they are only stats.

yes he can play preseason.
only thing is that he is off to the confederations cup and that doesnt end till early july so if he gets 3 weeks off then it might not be till august before he joins up with the squad.

Great to see him looking so happy. Didn't look like somebody that was leaving.

Luis has now missed  12 games because of being banned and we have WON 8 LOST 2 DRAWN 2. I just hope we can keep this going at the beginning of next season.

not sure if it`s a load of rubbish or what but apparently there are rumours coming out of spain that suarez is unhappy living in liverpool.
i`ve even heard that balague has written an article in a spanish newspaper saying suarez wants out and he wants to sign for madrid.
someone reckons that suarez`s agent (guardiola`s brother) does know ballague quite well and he has used him to put story`s out in the past.
not looking good

Yea we can't be surprised if he goes off to Madrid.  Madrid pay top dollar for players tho, and we should be no different.  Anything less than 45 would be stupid, but I feel we could get more.

I am starting to get the feeling we may be without Suarez next season.  Would be a horrible loss, but we have played well without him, and with that kind of money we could really strengthen a few places in our starting 11 I feel.
DESPITE THE FACT I LIVE IN CALIFORNIA...

If the fella wants to go to Madrid go so be it, no point in hanging onto a player if he doesn't want to be here but I'd be looking for £50 million plus Alonso in exchange.

If the rumours true maybe just for once we can play hard ball with any club that wants him and not get robbed again.

I for one would not be surprised if Suarez isn't at LFC next season. I would be DELIGHTED if he stayed but after all the sh*t from this season the owners, the manager and LS himself may all be better off with him away. We would get top dollar for him at the moment and that would give BR some serious coin to strengthen the squad!!

apparently reina held a press conference because he has a new website or twitter account or some friggin thing and there are a couple of interesting quotes from him too. i cant remember what they were verbatim but they were along the lines of `it would be very difficult to turn down a club like barcelona` and ` it would be difficult to leave liverpool but if i did it it would be to grow as a player`.
hmmm.....
btw agree with whats been said about luis, it would be a big blow to lose him but if he does want out take the money and re-invest it in the team.
i wonder if it`s too late to put a bid in for erikssen? apparently he has all but signed for dortmund. wouldnt mind signing him and benteke.

from yakka's link

Guillem Balague on Luis Suarez future
This is the kind of story Liverpool fans don’t want to hear, but it has happened before and will happen again –it is law of football and a consequence of the stage the club is in, progressing but not at the level where they can expect their best player to ignore interest from other more successful clubs. Liverpool Football Club are resigned to lose Luis Suarez and are preparing life without him. They are aware of the interest from top clubs in Europe and Liverpool feel they have done as much as they can to convince him to stay, and everything is now in the players’s court.

He is happy in Liverpool, the club has looked after him and he feels settle for the first time since he left his home in Uruguay. The family atmosphere has helped him grow and he feels the club has done everything that it was required so he could focus in his game. We all have read the interviews, I have heard him say it himself. But…

At this stage of his career, he would like to test himself in the biggest stage, the Champions League. He hoped Liverpool could provide that but it hasn’t been the case. He expects the progression of the team will take them to the top four at some point but he has heard there are clubs like Real Madrid, Atlético Madrid, Juventus (he is preferred to Higuain), even Chelsea that have shown interest. No offer on the table yet but there will be more than one put during the summer.

His parents in law live near Barcelona and his wife tends to spend time there. Spain is then their preferred destination.

He has a buy out clause which some sources put at £35 million and others at more than £40m. Liverpool will demand the totality of the buy out clause to release the player. There will be clubs willing to pay that. And then it will be all up to the player.

Notice, I DID NOT SAY HE IS GOING TO GO. I am saying, the club is resigned to his departure if he decides to go. And he is aware there is interest from top clubs and is considering his future. That is the stage the situation is in.

if any club matches that buy out clause (which they will) then fsg will pack his bags for him whether he wants to go or not.
the only interest we seem to be showing is in cutting wage bills and for that reason alone i wouldnt hold it against him if he did want to go.
so far we seem to be showing zero fooking ambition in signing quality players to complement the 2 or 3 we already have.

Ball bag hasn't got a thing right in nearly a decade

He is as bad as the tabloid gossip papers.

Only last week he said there was no chance of Rafa going abroad.
