The votes were cast mid jan when Bale was on his run of very good performances

So its more a player of the first half of the season rather than year then. Why don't they vote on this at the end of the season?

It's the same type as act seen on his stage show.

It's a nothing episode.

Nothing ? Only the FA could book a comedian known for flying close to the wind on race issues at their union bash.

Carlisle has apologised to anyone who is still listening to his mantra for booking Reg D Hunter.

On Kick it Out the FA don't know whether to stick or twist - Until Suarez/Evra it was hardly mentioned. Now everyone is acting like their Martin Luther King !  :eyebrow

Racism has become the "Don't mention the War" issue in the modern game and because the FA is primarily run by white upper class numb nuts who often speak on an empty head they tie themselves in knots trying to comment on issues they have little understanding of.

How come all the other major sports (Cricket/Rugby/Tennis/Golf/Athletics ) has so little to say on the subject ? Probably because they don't think their the oracle on one of society's ills and realise that once you elevate an issue it has the tendency to overtake your primary function.

Suarez booed at the PFA whilst laughing their tits off at Reg gives you an inkling at the level of their ability to exercise some judgement !

Voted for in January the awards are a crock anyway  !

Walk on ............... :)

Then how come Michu wasn't on that list. He was phenomenal at that time.

Speaking of Michu, it appears that Swansea might be selling him and that we and Tottenham are ones most interested in buying him. He would be a great asset to the team, but not for the reported 30 million or something silly like that.

ha ha it's always spurs and us. Everytime we're linked with a player... spurs are also in for him. Love it.

It really is funny isn't it.  I could imagine the head groundskeeper about to buy the latest greatest cutting machine and realizing he has left his wallet in the car.  Meanwhile the Spurs groundskeeper who was peering around a corner comes in and buys it.

I won't celebrate Rafa going........ but I will be over the moon if Dalglish comes in. League within 2 years if he gets the job, AND YOU CAN QUOTE ME ON THAT.

spurs done us a favour taking signurdsson and dempsey, if we would have signed those 2 we probably wouldnt have went for sturridge and coutinho.

Hadn't quite thought of it like that? I think we bought Allen when Signurdson went to Spurs. The thought of missing out on PC because we bought Dempsey doesn't bare thinking about.

I'm a fan of O'Sullivan and they're encouraging words from him - for Suarez and more importantly the WHOLE team!

Suarez got two votes in the FW Player of the Year  - not even 1% of the votes

Bale got 54% Rvp got 43% with Mata 3rd with 2%.

Suarez was level with Ricky Lambert on two votes.

Suarez was reported to be at around 65% of the votes until the biting incident.

It shows that impact the incident has had - most dont agree with journos. I think i really have ever liked Reade but to have an overall general feeling like that chance is going to move outwards and its going to be one hell of a summer in regards what will be written about Suarez. Not looking forward to it.
