Point is still valid though mate. Time and time again we see similar things going on unoticed but as soon as Luis does something the whole world needs to stand up and have a moan.

if he is going to stay at the club then the club must be seen to take a hard stand with him by cutting his wage for a few weeks and adding their own club ban on him.

i'll put it simply.

having a good image as a club doesn't get you into the champions league. having players like luis suarez does.

At the risk of being shot down in flames and whilst I am pleased that we have a serious strike partner for Torres I want to go on record and say I hope the player learns to represent Liverpool Football Club in a much more mature way than he has conducted himself at Ajax and whilst on International duty.

Although his talent is undoubted he is one fiery player to have around and Kenny will need all his powers of persuasion and influence to keep a check on the less savoury aspects of his game???

I just hope we haven't signed the South American El Hadji Diouff

Hate to say i told you so but my worse fears have been realised. Its beyond doubt he is an exceptional player but that's not a panacea to fix everything that has happened of a more unsavoury nature.

You can plead loyalty to Liverpool Football Club and talk about Sir Andrex keeping Cantona all you like but save a FULL apology and serious action from the club I fear we have seen the last of Luis Suarez !

Gutted , absolutely gutted !

Club about to release some statements it seems.

Absolute madness by Luis today. His had  a magnificent season but this is going to overshadow that and no doubt his out of the running for player of the season now. It's a difficult one. His obviously highly charged during a game and that is what makes him the superb player he is but his got to realise this kind of thing not only hurts him but also the club as a whole. Just don't get why he done it. Was there some kind of running battle between him and Ivanovic or words exchanged during the game? I mean that kind of thing probably happens in most games but you just can't cross the line. Defenders probably know they can wind him up and throw bait his way waiting for him to bite, in this case literally

ayre and rodgers have both condemned it and said the matter will be dealt with internally by the club. ayre says suarez's conduct is "not befitting of a liverpool player".

at least the club have learnt something from the debacle of the suarez affair last year in dealing with this issue quickly.
