Lots of talk linking us with Bent on a loan to buy deal.

After reading a lot of rumours linking us to this guy for 12 million and that guy for 20 million, you've got to say that a loan to buy deal sounds more like the sort of thing we'd be doing.

Wouldn't have really picked Bent as a Rodgers or FSG purchase though. Not sure how I feel about this one. He has a decent record in putting the ball in the back of the net, but I don't see him as the answer, or as the buy who'll get the supporters and team confident in FSG's commitment to the cause.

I guess for the right price he is an OK buy, but I think we need more than OK.

We are linked with that Bent every window and I would be gobsmacked if he arrived
at Anfield.

Put it this way if he pulls on the red shirt we may as well turn the lights out and give
over bothering about what happens anymore.

I wouldn't mind if we got Darren Bent in January.
I would hope we get another top striker in first though like Huntelaar, Cavani, Llorente, Damiao, Remy, Van Wolfswinkel.

If we could get Darren Bent on an initial loan deal it could make a lot of sense.
By the summer time we may have negotiated a Bosman deal for a new striker (if that player don't go in January) i.e. Walcott, Llorente, Huntelaar etc.

I wouldn't mind Bent on loan as long as he was one of three strikers we bring in, and th eother 2 were much better.

So I think we are all agreed; we all want Bent, just as long as we get enough better strikers to never play him!
