Can't believe the panic over Sterling's contract all of a sudden.  He knows there are no clubs as big as ours that will give him as much game time and that one of Rodgers' strengths is working with young players.  I can imagine Stevie and Carra having a word in his ear too.  He'll extend his contract I have no doubt.  There is no way the kid has balls big enough to reject us and demand the figures quoted in some tabloids... 50k per week?! No chance.  Something closer to half that is what he'll get.

I think Man City have made it clear that they WILL pay him 50k a week and yes he would get in their team.

try the search function or index thread.

if you want, introduce yourself in the introduction section and then describe the topic, someone nice may find it for you

Its on the ESPN site http://www.espn.co.uk/football/sport/story/180121.html?CMP=OTC-RSS

Police have questioned Liverpool winger Raheem Sterling over an alleged attack on a woman in the Toxteth area of the city.

The Liverpool Echo reported that Sterling, 17, was questioned by detectives under caution after attending a police station by appointment. He has not been arrested. Liverpool have declined to comment on the report.

Merseyside police said investigations were continuing, and a force statement said: "Merseyside police can confirm that a 17-year-old male from the Woolton area was interviewed under caution following a report of an assault on Friday 2 November.

"A 27-year-old woman received slight injuries during the incident. At this time, the investigation is ongoing and no formal action has been taken."

Sterling, who made his England debut in last week's friendly away to Sweden - becoming Liverpool's youngest-ever international - joined the Reds from QPR in February 2010.

If hes already got 3 kids to 2 women then maybe he needs to try and become a responsible adult and keep away from trouble?

Is this true that he already has 3 kids???

I'm starting to think that if we get a good price then maybe we should let him go, the more I see of him the less impressed I become. He may develop into a superstar and he may not.

He's got a 5 month old baby and that's it.

Talk of selling our best midfield prospect since McManaman is daft. He's not been arrested or charged either.

The problem is he seems to have everything to be a world beater. I fully expect him to get 30k a week on a 5 year deal. The club will offer him what ever he wants

he cannot sign a 5yr deal   the rules say that 18 and under the maximum contract you can sign is for 3 years.

Really? thats not good. So at 21 when hes a england starter and one of the best players in the league he can leave for free?[/quote]

yeah thats the scenario alright.
the club will try to tie him down again closer to the time and if its looking likely he wont renew then he will be sold, same as anyone else.
