he plays for celtic, scored a few goals for them.
started out in the lower leagues with the likes of grays athletic, southend and leyton orient.

Checked him out... scored 20 odd goals in each of his last 2 seasons with celtic? But is that good enough for BPL? Who knows... if the price is right why not?

Not in a million years....Southend, Leyton Orient.....gimme a break....

sam byram, 18 year old striker from leeds utd. he's in the first team and the kid can play.  Liverpool already made inquiries about him for January,  looks like a deal I'd close.

Kevin Sampson‏@ksampsonwriter

From lips of Liverpool F.C Dutch Branch president Michael Kennedy just now, Huntelaar is a "done deal" for LFC.

Huntelaar is more than good enough but does this mean we will push Suarez out wide? If so i'm not sure this is a good idea. I would have liked to see Suarez and Huntelaar up top, with Suarez just behind HUntelaar.

huntelaar isnt coming, in tonights echo it says despite continued speculation in the press sources from within the club have told the echo that huntelaar wont be signing for liverpool. when the echo says that you can take it as gospel.
rodgers talks about how he doesnt want his number 9 to be `static`, he wants mobile players who can interchange.
bit of a blow that, i think we need an old fashioned out and out goalscorer myself.

Rodgers would do anything to get Huntelaar in a Liverpool shirt make no mistake but we cant afford
him and the lad wont want to come here either when he can take his pick.

We took the scouts from Man City to hunt down low cost talent and lads off the radar of the big money
clubs and thats were our purchases will come from not the obvious names the papers and internet band
about.

As much as anyting our future lies with the scouting network as does Rodgers in many ways. He will look
at players to a degree but most of the potential signings will be lads picked out by the scout network
as you cant put the hours in on that job if your Liverpool manager.

Watch much of the Bundesliga, do you ? Well ?
As a matter of fact, I do....and I don't rate him that highly at all. Very static, not a workhorse, not a Rodgers-type player. Very selfish for Schalke

did he not score 48 goals in 47 games last year?.
he's exactly the type of striker we need, a prolific one.he wouldnt cost silly money either and if this club is serious about wanting to progress anytime soon then that's the type of player we need.
the bundesliga is inferior to the prem but huntelaar has experience and could be as valuable to us as VDV was for spudz.
if we can land this guy then we should at least try.id have him over walcott, sturridge or hooper anyday. :nod
