As much as I enjoy seeing us linked recently with Villa, Alexis Sanchez, Llorente, Jovetic, Falcao and some other top-class players like that, I'm not getting my hopes up.  I could see us maybe going after Llorente since he wants to leave, but like I said, not getting my hopes up.  I'll just let it play out and then bitch and moan like the rest

He's played 5 games. how do you know this? Took Crouchy about 12 games to get his first. Maybe once he gets a couple he'll crack on from there and get a load.

we're after hooper in january after his contract talks with celtic broke down (cue everyone saying he's not good enough for us because he's only done it for scunthorpe and in scotland blah blah blah).

Even if we had Carroll here now we would not be scoring more goals, mostly becuase I don't think he'd be playing much but also because he was and is a crapola player.

Didnt we buy another player from sunny scunny and he didnt turn out bad?

in scottish football hooper has shown he knows where the net is but lets face it the teams we are hoping to compete with (the city`s, chelsea` and united`s etc) wouldnt sign him in a million years.
if we dont bring anyone in apart from hooper in january then this club has settled for mid table obscurity.

But what do you expect we got no money so it will be demba ba or hooper. unless you think the owners should go into a bidding war with chelski and citeh for Falcao?

We aren't competing against the likes of City etc and we can't get the players they are looking to get

Would you take Jelavic for example

if we arent competing against the top teams then we have already settled for mid table obscurity.

Well we are a mid table team at the moment and we need to improve. We aren't in the position to sign the type of players City etc would be looking to sign. That's just the reality of the situation currently
