I watched that Lawless and I am in two minds about it, I enjoyed the acting from all involved, but I felt the script was a bit p!ss poor.

I just caught Hara Kiri: Death of a Samurai. It's the 2011 remake of an older version, if I'm not wrong, from 1962. Wonderful movie! If anyone wants to watch it, PM me and I'll email you the link.

Got both of them on DVD, if you haven't seen the original go out and get it now !. Whilst the remake is very good, the original is nothing short of brilliant.  :nod

I've heard many people say that! I've been very much into martial arts movies lately, like Kickboxer, Only The Strong, Bloodsport, etc. Another movie I hope to catch is Sanjuro.

Check out the "Asian Invasion" thread Maypax some good stuff mentioned in there.

Sanjuro is excellent as are nearly all Kurosawa's movies.

It's been around for a bit now, but if you've not seen it, check out the Tom Cruise version of War of the Worlds. Watched it recently and was freaked out.

WS Anderson finds work because f*cking morons pay to watch his garbage and lap it up. Same way Bay gets work. Then there's little gems like Dredd that go unnoticed and are practically sh*t on by joe public. F*ck em. It's for things like this that I relish every chance I get to download any of the Hollywood p*sh that gets pumped out. The sooner people vote with their wallets, maybe we'll get better films with actual story or at least an entertaining script. I mean, just look at Total Recall. Why?!!

I thought 'Dredd' went to No.1 at the box office?

***edit***
Actually, scratch that. It was just for a week in the UK.

Jesus, what a shame. People really are fu*kwits.
