i've seen tello a few times coming on as a late sub for barca. as eagle says, he plays on the left of the front 3 and seems like a tricky, energetic player. needs a bit of coaching but he could be a good addition to the squad.

So wouldnt see him as a starter over downing just yet then?

He's better than Downing. MUCH better.

Tello is NOT better than a playing at his peak Stewart Downing (at the moment) IMO, unfortunately he has not been anywhere near that level in a Liverpool shirt. I watched Tello quite a bit last season and he sticks out in the Barca side like a sore thumb, hes VERY direct, to the point where he dribbles with blinkers on at times, in a side thats all about ball retention and the smooth passing game he can be infuriating to watch as he loses possession time and again.

He has only played about 20 games in his career with most coming from the bench - I doubt anyone has seen him enough to make statements that he is better than such and such. If he was English im pretty sure people like you wouldnt be hyping him up so much.

Yes he does lose possession quite often and is direct, but he's a bigger goal threat compared to Downing.
With his pace and dribbling ability, he'll be a success especially with Gerrard and Suarez around to knock goals in.
Why are we talking about him anyway..rumor? Last rumor I heard, Arsenal were in for him, part of the Song deal.

We are being linked with a bid for Walcott again in the papers this morning and a part exchange deal with Fulham inc Adam for Dempsey

rumours that sahin on loan is very close.

would be a brilliant deal if it comes off.

It was Allen arriving and Bellamy leaving. Both deals have been on the cards for some time but it was just a matter of team GB’s interest in the football ending. I’d expect us to sign at least one player, probably two, before the opening game of the season, with at least one player moving on. Just an educated guess.

We got rid of 3 players that we played on the wings. I hope we sign at least one replacement.
