Congratulations to Bradley Wiggins, first British winner of the tour, leading a 1-2 with Chris Froome, now for gold at the Olympics  :buttrock

I love watching the Tour.  And I thought Wiggins was amazing in the first half of the race.  Not quite the Tour I grew up watching (Teams, tactics all play a big part now) .  One of my favorite sporting memories is when Greg LeMond won it in (I think it was 89) a time trial on the final stage.  Much more dramatic than the laps around the Champs Elyees for sprint points.

For me the whole "teams" aspect is what seperates it from the past.  I still watch it every year though.

I won't celebrate Rafa going........ but I will be over the moon if Dalglish comes in. League within 2 years if he gets the job, AND YOU CAN QUOTE ME ON THAT.

seems the country has gone bike mad i tried to make the effort to get into it but i couldnt make out wtf was going on.
it has got to be the most confusing sport ever, at one point wiggins was 7 seconds ahead of this other fella, then the next day after riding about 200 miles he finished the day still 7 seconds ahead of that fella, i was watching it at my brothers and we were commenting how amazing it was that wiggings and this other fella completed that 200 mile stage in exactly the same time down to the exact second ( to keep the 7 second gap)
but then at the end of the next stage wiggings was still 7 seconds ahead and then i started to think `hang on whats going on here? no way have they just rode 400 miles over 2 days in the exact same time down to the exact second`
all this pelaton malarky confused me as well, at one point i thought it was a car that set the pace, then i thought it was the leader of the race, i still dont know what it is.
it was good to watch though. some of the french countryside looked stunning.
