alberto desperately tries to slide his right eye a little further away from the left when he thinks no one is looking

Most on here, including myself, were disappointed when Kenny shipped him out on loan last season. he had a strong pre-season and was by far one of the better performers. Very creative and look interested in scoring. I can see both Aquilani and Cole taking a bigger part this season if given the opportunity and I welcome it.

He has been mucked around by the club for two seasons now so don't expect any love loss. But with the right motivation and encouragement he could become a good player for us.

The right motivation for him is playing in italy - if we were based in Florence it would be perfect for him. He had a good pre season because he was playing for a move - simple really

Pure conjecture.

He just wants to play, maybe he does want to play closer to home but the PL is the best alternative he has.

I hope he succeeds here.

Its conjecture based on evidence seen by the player - when the Milan deal went through last summer Aquilani was over the moon - he couldnt be happier - he even stated as such.

Why wouldn’t he be over the moon? He went from a club not even in the Europa League that didn’t want him to one of the biggest clubs in his home nation and in the world who are playing in the Champions League and competing for the title. I can’t remember Hodgson or Kenny ever saying they wanted him to stay and be part of the team.

Considering how he was treated by Hodgson and Kenny I dont blame him. It was clear kenny had no place for him in the squad. It should not be hard to understand that he wants to play and not rot in the reserves.

How he was treated ? How exactly was he treated ? Aquilani was played in pre season then clubs offered him a way out and he took it - im still unsure what exactl the manager did wrong to make him such a frail person to jump at the chance to leave.

If we wanted to keep him he would have stayed. Kenny wanted the "british revolution" instead.
