ALBERTO AQUILANI - Official Thread

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

I see this comes from his agent, who to be fair is as reliable as Sean Dundee in front of goal!

I think I am in an ever increasing minority who rate Aquaman, in pre season last year he looked awesome (I get he was playing for a move) but in flashes also in the previous season he looked good in a red shirt. He is fit and he has talent and could be ready to become the signing we all hoped for.

Rogers looks set to give him a go, as well as Cole. They could be the signings of the summer!

Mindless optimism I know!

Aquilani is akin to the Italian army (no offence RBG), his flag is White - his only gear is reverse. He's a pussy.

The fact that there are no offers for him speaks volumes. Hes a lightweight. Rafa really lost the plot towards the end.

Aquilani (18 million), Keane (20 million)..., in steps Kenny and buys Carroll (35 million), Downing (20 million), Henderson (17 million)

When you think the guy that preceded them bought Heskey (11 million), Diouf (10.5 million), Cisse (14 million).... the money we have wasted on attacking players has been shocking.

same old same old, his agent can't shut the f*ck up, talks to the media and 2 weeks later shipped out to Italy, how on earth did we find ourselves in this mess? terminate his contract and end his and our misery

and now fans are moaning that our board don't have a clue because they refuse to throw big money at our new manager

Which is better or worse than keeping a player you dont want and paying all his wages?

very surprised we didnt try to use him as leverage in the borini deal seeing as he cost a reported £12mil.
i do feel he could play a part for us next season but whats the point if he's going to bolt as soon as his contracts up next summer.
id rather see shelvey feature ahead of him tbh as he has a future here and aqua doesnt.
