did he chisel that decision out in stone?
situations change and people change their minds. our last two managers wanted to go in a different direction towards a more british style so it`s not surprising aquilani didnt want to hang around here, players arent soft, when kenny brought adam and henderson in he could see the writing on the wall.
but now we have a manager with a different approach to the game, an approach that suits aquilani`s game, if he feels that he may have a chance of being a regular starter under rodgers he may decide to stay, according to his agent thats all he ever wanted, he just wanted to be in and around the starting XI but when he was being frozen out for months on end he wanted out because he was at a stage in his career (mid to late 20`s) where he wasnt prepared to sit on the bench.
odds are that he wont stay, he`s probably had enough of england but i hope he stays because he is a quality player that would improve us.
