that was some header by the big fella, it was a real throwback to the days of tommy lawton and nat lofthouse. england made hard work of it but they got the result in the end and in tournament football that`s all that matters. terrible keeping by the swedish goalie for walcotts goal though, it was just a speculative effort that should have been a routine save, f##king awful keeping.
Who cares? we won !
For so long watching England has been boring as sin as its the usual tripe in the starting line up, but this tournament has me fascinated, with regards to England. When we went 2-1 down I was genuinely gutted, normally im laughing, but not tonight. So when we won it was a relief. Get rid of Terry and we have a very good future regarding our national team.

Just saw the game. Nerves are a bit shot.
I thought Gerrard had a great first half but the second half he was disappointing, to me he doesn't look as though he has the energy to physically and mentally perform at 100% for 90 mins. I hope he recovers quick enough for the next match - apparently his recovery time between games has always taken longer than others. He'll be f.ucked for us next season.
Johnson did okay, I thought (don't know for sure) that he was supposed to be marking Ollberg? for Sweden's second goal and he played Sweden onside for the first. Still, he put in a couple of vital tackles and isn't as bad a "defender" as people make out - I rate him even though he had a couple of blips.
Carroll, Superb header there and the assist from Stevie was good. Carroll did well, for me he was better than Wellbeck but it was the United lad who got the all important goal.
James Milner is f.ucking gnash - both Chamberlin and Walcott should be ahead of that turd.

They thoroughly deserved their 3-2 win. Critics like myself who expected to see more of an attacking approach by Hodgson were put squarely in our place.
Theo Walcott must be thinking "I've got to be in the starting line up against Ukraine". 1 goal and 1 assist in less time on the pitch than James Milner. Ashley Young looks completely out of his depth at International level. James Milner is a center-midfielder all day long, he's not a winger and shouldn't be played there. The fact he does for City simply shows that they've got more than enough strength in that position. And with the way England play Milner might have to slot in there, because I can see Gerrard or Parker getting injured, especially if England are going to give the lion share of possession to Ukraine on Tuesday.
As for our players, I was delighted to see Carroll start and then score, I hope he takes much confidence from that goal and I hope he starts against Ukraine. If he can start scoring on a consistent basis at these Euro's, it bodes well for us on his return. G.Johnson was okay, nothing special, was at fault for the first goal, not sure about the second, I'd be inclined to say that Terry and Lescott should have done better aswell.
Gerrard was great in the first half and the fizzled out in the second, I think he'll have to be a bit-part player for now on because I can't see him playing 40 odd games a season anymore without suffering from sheer exhaustion or picking up injuries again.
Delighted to see Ibrahimovic going home, that's one nasty individual and not just that he's dog ugly as well, his face put me off my beer last night.
Hopefully the Swedes can do something positive and hold France to a draw on Tuesday, while England beat Ukraine to advance to the QF.
