That's just the way it is, Benny! FSG want to run us a business and sponorship deals like Standard Chartered mean a great deal, without that £80m a season we're in a bad situation because we don't have owners like Man City who will say "right I want Mario Gotze, here Dortmund have £60m for him". At the end of the day, Standard Chartered are just looking after their own interests, Suarez's actions hurt the image of our club and that has repercussions for them too.

however looking at it from another angle the Suarez name does fetch a premium and Suarez whilst at Liverpool will always sell shirts etc. So in one sense I can see the sponsors concerns but on the other hand the club makes money from Suarez.

well they have just announced the new shirts with Gerrard on the back were the biggest sellers followed by sales of shirts with Suarez on. Lucas was the 3rd highest seller.

Quick.. get the Daily Fail onto this.

Honestly the casual xenophobia the little englander media dished out to Suarez has been disgusting. Zero awareness or interest in the culture he is from, or understanding the connotations of the word there... nope.. its wrong in our little island so lets carry out a character assassination. Lets also ignore the work he did in the townships during the 2010 world cup, and the glowing comments from black players in Holland's Ere divisie, and also Glen Johnson for that matter. If i make a comment that means one thing in my culture, but something else in someone elses, i shouldnt apologise for it as there was no intent. I have never been more certain that Luis (to him) did nothing wrong.. and thats what matters.
