Absolutely. He's played too much and played too important a role for someone his age, in his first season at a club like Liverpool.

Having said that, had Lucas not got injured I'm sure he wouldn't have played as often as he has.

I agree he has been disappointing so far, cannot really think of too many times he has looked like a genuine class player.
Like many I can't understand why Kenny has continued to play him on the right when it looks obvious to us he isn't suited to that role.
Whilst I still feel we lack a top class right sided player we do have better options than Henderson.

I really hope he comes good, it's not like Kenny isn't giving him a chance, if anything it's the opposite, he seems like a nice lad so hopefully we will see the best of him.

We do need to add some class to our midfield for next season.

Give the lad time. He has bags of ability and will be a good player for LFC.

maybe he will turn out decent in time but we cannot afford to be playing him constantly.
i agree r.w isnt his preferred role but there is no reason why he cant do a job there.he gets enough game time and he isnt the first to have been played out of position there either.both gerrard and kuyt have done it in the past and still performed and i dont see why this lad cant.
he should be grateful he isnt on the bench or the reserves and put that little bit of extra effort in to make it work.

He's got potential for the long term but in terms of this season he looks a questionable signing in terms of getting back into the top four.

I thought he was good yesterday, not outstanding going forward but he was providing crosses from the right, I think he just needs a little more confidence, playing down the centre in a more forward role might help him develop that side of his game but the talent is definitely there
All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing
'Bout the glory, round the Fields of Anfield Road

I think he was so bad against a couple of Championship sides that he simply couldn't get any worse. However Henderson should never play on the wing again because he is so fkg bad.

he was much better yesterday,, much more involved.. also agree that playing him on the right is madness.

Still dont know what to make of him. Reminds me of Danny Murphy... not quite sure hes good enough to feature in a team that aspires to challenge for league/top 4.

All of Houllier's signings were pretty poor as well. I don't know how Liverpool won cups and finished second under such another rotten manager from the last few years.

Heres how. The spine...back 4 of Carragher-Hyypia-Henchoz-Babbel.. Hamann as protection.. very tight defensively... and then the combination of Gerrard-Owen on the counter. Break down the 4 cups;

League Cup final - pens
FA Cup final - Owen
UEFA Cup final - Babbel, Gerrard, Gary Mac, Fowler
League Cup final - Gerrard & Owen

Down the middle was our strength, we had a very strong spine. The flanks with the likes of Smicer, Murphy, Riise, Berger.. were never at the level of Man U (Giggs, Beckham), Arsenal (Pires, Ljungberg) or Chelsea (Robben, Duff).. so thats where we were massively short.

I think a fan should get the job. They seem to know what to do and have all the answers. I think a fan appointment would be good for all concerned.
