It actually says: "Rafa must stay"

How much is Carroll on a week?

If he doesn't come good soon we are never going to get rid of him because his wages will be out of most clubs range!!

I really hope that KK's post match comments were partly aimed at Carroll. If I were Kenny I would drop him into the reserves and let him stay there for the rest of the season. He made one decent contribution to the game with a flick on/assist for Bellamy.

Other than that he was shocking! In his defence he was not the only one..but to be honest, for 95% of the time he has been on the pitch for us this season, he has made Voronin look like Lionel Messi!

Not good enough!!

p.s I really wish he would lose the pony tail...he looks like some lost raver..circa 1992!

Alvaro Negrado just scored tonight for Sevilla. Twice the player of Andy Carroll and would have cost less than half the money. Yet another player we were linked with in the Gillette and Hicks era.

I hate football :(

The criticism is actually now getting too harsh, because there is nothing he can do with us. Hes trying his best, but the step up to us, from the direct game that tailored to his limitations at Newcastle, is too much.

He did win a header with the very type of direct one dimensional service he was getting at Newcastle. We do not play this way for the vast majority of games so hes anonymous. Hes a limited player who is suited perfectly to a team like Stoke. I know hes on huge wages but i genuinely feel sorry for him now. He didn't choose to be put in this environment (even stated he didn't want to leave Newcastle), and the kind of expansive game on the floor that we aspire to play is completely alien to him. To ask Carroll to do what hes incapable of doing is unfair. The expectations are unrealistic.

"Anfield es un templo de fútbol" AS
"The English club prove miracles do exist" D.Maradona
"Theres not one club in the world so united with its fans. Liverpool fans sent shivers down my spine" J.Cruyff

In that case then he should come out to the press and state,
"Actually guys, I am a completely average footballer who doesn't deserve to be anywhere near this Liverpool team. As an act of atonement for my dreadful lack of form and belief over the last twelve months, I will now donate all of my undeserved wages to charity"

Honestly, to think that people are struggling along on minimum wages to get by and this poor excuse of a footballer is happy to accept huge wages from LFC...it's an utter disgrace! He should be ashamed of himself!

There would be a lot of players handing over their wages if that was the criteria.

Most modern footballers are so well paid and financially driven that they would rather not play every week and get 90k than play every week and get 40k.

Carroll will sit on his 5 year contract unless someone is stupid enough to pay money for him and match his contract.

Is there another club out there that wants to spend 35 million on a carthorse to hover round mid table?

I'm now angry with the Andy Carroll situation. It's clear he's not going to be up to standard, and he needs to be booted out of the club. Swap him for Darren Bent, Demba Ba, or Fernando Torres. However, knowing fully well how stubborn Kenny is, we're stuck with the useless striker for goodness knows how long.  :(

We are stuck with Carroll for as long as Kenny is manager

If we don't finish in the top 6, that could be as soon as the summer. And being a fan of Kenny's since 1978, it pains me to say that.

I didn't say Rafa wasn't stubborn. They are both stubborn. Yes, it's the same old story.
