I said before that the January loan market for European born players are excellent value prior to a European Championship.

The player wants exposure for the Euros, the parent club lose all or part of their wage bill for the player with potential to sell in the summer. The destination club get potentially cheap striker who is motivated and otherwise would cost a lot to bring to the club.

Win win in my opinion.

Grobbelaar reckons we are in for 2 stikers this window and one will be arriving soon:-

“There are two strikers [Liverpool are interested in],” said Grobbelaar. “I know that [Kenny Dalglish] is looking at a South American striker who is playing in Holland and I know that he’s quite close in getting another striker.

“I’m not going to be the one to actually tell you who, but I’m sure that the striker will be arriving soon.”

7 in 12 this season but very young, not sure he's the answer. Could be a good prospect but there's not a lot to go on.

He's Uruguayan btw so he can add to this little dynasty we have going on

Honestly, I'd be tempted to sack off Andy Carroll for £15m if we can and get in two new strikers
