This must mean the club is confident that Stevie will fully recover from his groin injury. We are still ok in there. Dont forget the lad Shelvey either, or the little one!! we have cover.

I do feel we need a bit of creativity, but I am more than happy with the business done during the window.

We've actually managed to spend 15million and weaken our central midfield considerably ! What the fck were you thinking Kenny and Comolli ?!

and to Chelsea ? OF ALL CLUBS ! Should have taken the Benayoun deal if we were intent on selling .. Now we are short in the middle, down the flanks, AND UPFRONT despite spending all that money ! BRILLIANT !

bad times. Well that's put a downer on what's been a pretty dam good transfer window.

Was he really injured or did Kenny just not trust him to do the job? So many questions, no way he handed the request in an hour ago, I don't buy that, now we're a bit short in the middle but we should be fine

Hell a lot of this thread is debating whether he should have been kept in the first place. Hope he flops like the rest of them

chill out aCe, we'll be fine. Meireles hasn't played much of a part so far and we've been absolutely fine and we will continue to be.

Let's be honest, Chelsea need a ball player and somehow they've ended up with Raul, my Chelsea mate said 'he can play def mid or out wide', well I hope to feck that's where they try to play him

Its not that bad mate. We are still in a lot better position than we were this time last year.

Meireles had some awesome games last year, but dissapeared a lot as well. We have cover.

I don't for one bit like this favouritism.

Ok, so kenny bought Henderson and Adam but Henderson is a 20 year old with potential and the future ahead of him.
Meireles is a full international in his best years and had a cracking season. Then from game 1 Henderson is a surefire starter and Meireles benchwarmer and so it has stayed every single game.
Even though we have been better in those cases Meireles has been subbed for Henderson.

Of course he wasn't going to be happy with that. He deserved to start, no question.

Stupid f*cking sale. We have lost a brilliant player for next to nothing to our rivals. I cannot put into words how p!ssed I am at this. To hear we have sold him is bad enough, but to f*cking chelsea, all we have done is weakened our squad and strengthened theirs. To me, this is right up there with the Alonso sale. A big f*ckup on our part.

TBH Im not that bothered as Kenny didn't even rate him. Besides we are probably gonna go for Hazard come the summer.

moan, moan, moan. some people are never happy on here ffs. he's a squad player here and we've got £15m for him at 28. chelsea didn't even want him until the modric deal was dead in the water.

we move on. the only players who are important are the ones who want to play for liverpool. mereiles clearly didn't.
