Maybe he handed it in earlier but lfc didn't report it until now?

FCK IT ! Absolutely gutted. Saw that coming the minute we started Adam and Henderson ahead of him. Hes still an a$$hole for putting in a transfer request so late but im sure he would havehad icussions with Daglish who probably would have told him he wouldnt be starting regularly for us...
15million is nothing and we're now left somewhat short in the middle of the park... Terrible business yet again imo...

It was obvious this was a done deal before.
Liverpool probably thought the fee was too low and demanded Meireles to forego his transfer bonus by leaving in a transfer request.
Just feel we are making a mistake
away Aquilani and Meireles just so Adam and Henderson can be 1st choice.
Only time will tell....

this is shocking, aqualani, cole, poulsen and meireles all gone and suddenly we look a bit thin in midfield
