Aye, as long as none of the guys are making a big deal out of not playing every single game I think we should be glad that we have these selection issues.

Fantastic little cameo today from one of our most underrated players.  We look like we're keeping him (judging by his subs appearances) but now it's time to start playing him from kick-off.  Let him and Suarez continue to develop their understanding and we'll see a few more Arsenal-esque walk-the-ball-into-the-net goals from them.

Like I said earlier, the guy has to start, even at the expense of Adam! But the player that should be on the bench instead of Meireles is obviously Henderson.

I think he was going after the Skrte/Soto thing... Neither are very good but they get play time because they scare the sh!te out of Kenny  :D

Amazing from Meireles today.. Probably the best 20 minutes he's had at our club, and one of the best games he's played.  If he can keep the consistency up then we will have an amazing CM in him.

Apparently, that pingpong fella showed the middle finger to Lucas when he got sent off. Meireles showed the finger to Lucas as a joke, inspired by the crazy wanna be future Patrick Vieira.

I thought he was doing it to the crowd, hope there isn't any punishment by the FA :suspect:

Raul Meireles will be missing for one to two weeks with an injury to his collar bone.

The Portuguese midfielder left the field during the first half of our 3-1 win over Exeter on Wednesday.

The prognosis comes as welcome news as it was initially feared Meireles would be absent for several weeks.

Kenny Dalglish told Liverpoolfc.tv: "It's his collar bone that is damaged, but it's only a week or two. We've been quite fortunate with that. A week or two will be the maximum."

Take it he'll only really miss the Bolton game and then he can recover during the international break.

I was concerned that he was maybe going to be shipped out at one point as he didn't start the first couple of games. I wasn't aware that he had picked up a couple of niggly injuries in pre-season and that meant he was not 100% fit. When fit he will play which is great news as he is a very good player IMO.
