2022: News reaching me, by the way, of a possible injury to Chelsea striker Fernando Torres - the frontman limping out of Spain's friendly against Italy with what looks like an ankle injury.

told my mate he'll come back crocked from international duty

According to TVE Torres suddenly went deaf after a clash of heads & thought he was going to faint. Gonna do a CAT scan after game.

He got minor concussion by the looks of it, hopefully nothing serious as concussions are dangerous

From the sme sources that said he had a knee injury during the B'rum game in the 09-10 season.

Seriously though.  I had a "Minor Concussion" (not my first) playing ice hockey about 9 years ago, I had Post Concussion Syndrome for at least six months.  I saw the same Neuro as a lot of top athletes from the northeast of the US see when they have concusions, IE, I know I saw the best.

A part of me hopes that Nandycakes deals with what I had to.  And considering he's got young kids in the house, it's likely to happen.

I won't celebrate Rafa going........ but I will be over the moon if Dalglish comes in. League within 2 years if he gets the job, AND YOU CAN QUOTE ME ON THAT.

Whatever about Judas and what he did to LFC, I don't wish any player ill. Just hope he finally sees the light and repents at the altar that is The Kop ! :D

The fly on Chelsea's dressing room wall whispered to me that Judas and the rest in the team are not exactly mate and he don't get on well with Terry, Lampard and especially Drogba...looked forward to their internal disharmony and infighting this coming season. Bet Judas must have regretted his move away from us half a season too soon for his partnership with King Luis might have been lethal!

he looks best and most lively when Benayoun is playing but seeing Chelsea are willing to use Benayoun as a bait to land Modric, its becoming more and more obvious that Torres joined the wrong club. the style of play is totally different.

I'm happy it went the way it did.  We traded Babel and Torres, a flop for us and history's biggest flop to chelsea, for Suarez and Carroll.  Suarez already looks like he could be better than Torres in his prime, and I feel Carroll still has a lot to give.

It does feel nice that things aren't going well for judas tho... I guess I just consider that a bonus.

How the fook did Torres get man of the match? When have you ever seen an out and out striker who doesnt track back get MOM when the score is 0-0?

Good to see there is no bias this season :D

Yeah I didn't get that either.

That said he did have a good-ish game. Was unlucky not to get the penalty.

Yeah but a goodish game when you don't score, that means that the defenders or goalie had blinders right?

I woulda given Woodgate MOM myself, as he actually did what he was paid to do

Spoke to a couple of Chelsea fans at the weekend and, as far as they’re concerned, Torres is a complete flop.

Too slow, too prone to throwing a strop and too scared to try and beat his man. They’re praying Athletico will come in with a 20 mill offer to take him away.

Bet Torres wishes he had held out for a move to City.
