Apparently the deal for Jose Enrique is supposed to be finalized by Thursday.

I know it's a crappy source but apparently the Daily Fail are also reporting the deal is done.

Up to £10m but I think this includes add-ons etc.

and it's on the Offy, under the rumours bit still but they reckon it's a done deal.

£10M inclusive of Add On's is still decent business IMO. Means we can move Insua and Aurelio on as we will have a recognised LB with cover in Johnson and Robinson.

Had a debate with mate this morning about what the likely formation and team will be for the start of the season. Neither of us really have a clue but we both agreed that we can't remember the last time we had so many options.

If we do get Enrique Iglesias, I think we should sign a striker next. Becaus Kelly can play CB. whereas in the striker department, we have Suarez who is still new to the PL, Carroll who is still young and still unproven in the PL, and Kuyt who is not that prolific... We need a striker more than a defender if we sign enrique...

Keyy has never played CB in the top flight, Carra is getting on a bit and may only have one season left in him, Agger is always injured and Scary is just not that good.

We desperatlely need a young CB with some EPL experience, preferably who is strong in the air.

Cahill or Dann (I would put Shawcross in as well but dont think he would come to us as he is a manc supporter)

The thing is, Cahill is not good in the air. He's only 5'9 or something like that. I remember the FA Cup semi final against Stoke and he got absolutely murdered by Kenwyn Jones. I do like him as a footballer though.

Aerially dominant centre halves are few and far betwwen. I've not really seen enough of Dann as he was injured for a lot of the season. Hangelaand was supposed to be then new Hyypia but I haven't heard anything with regards to him moving. Personally I'd enquire about Samba at Blackburn who I like a lot.
