Now im no statto but I remember reading somewhere he season he left, that 2nd half of the season he was top assist maker or something.
Now that he is fit he could be a real asset to us.

If we could get 12m-14m off them I'd snap their hand off or swap him for Adam Johnson.

"how we all see that..."
Seriously this sh'ithouse tag is totally out of order, I watched Aquilani against Birmingham, Wigan, Wolves, Spurs, Bolton, Portsmouth and Sunderland at Anfield 2009/10 and he got bashed in loads of those matches (we won them all by the way) so lay off with the insinuations that hes some sort of fairy eh?

I think you should stop reading 'he's too lightweight' as 'he's a sh!thouse' in all honesty...
He's hardly the heavyweight of his type of player let's face it, its certainly a point for debate and not totally out of order...
Have you ever watched him challenge strongly for the ball? Getting bashed about is one thing, winning the ball back is another, look at Meireles, he bottles 50/50s most of the time

Lets debate then
What do you mean by "heavyweight" exactly?
And are you saying he's never won the ball back?

I'm saying a partnership of Aqua and Meireles would be suicide, as much as Lucas gets slated he's at least the one most willing to get with the physical side of the game and break up play, a job I don't think Aqua or Raul could do
You're probably right in the respect that Aqua has a tag that probably precedes him but I'm not saying he's never won the ball back, he more than likely has. Admittedly I didn't see him play a lot last season because the whole debacle was pretty depressing overall and one I'm not in a hurry to recall
Aqua is best deployed further up the pitch, I'm sure we all agree on that. One of the reasons I suggest he's lightweight is his injury record which, if its anything to go by, suggests that one hard challenge could finish him off for a while but in terms of specific games and times I couldn't possibly, I've seen enough of him to form an opinion but I don't remember a great deal, perhaps I blanked all of last season - in fact the only thing I genuinely remember is Gerrard shaking his head when Nando went off - I don't think I'll ever forget that, perhaps the lowest point of the Rafa era
Granted it never happened in Italy but its a league reknowned for having a lot of time and space on the ball, the fact he may or may not have shone over there doesn't particularly indicate anything to me
by heavyweight I was getting onto players like Masch who just challenge and chase the ball - I'm not saying I expect that from Aqua because tha's not what he does, I was just saying the exact polar opposite as you did yourself when denying Aqua was lightweight so don't read too much into that in point particular
