He is going - he is playing for a move - he doesn't want to stay in the prem , he doesn't have the desire or heart of passion for the prem - he wants to go back to Italy .

It would be very stupid to sell Aquilani after seeing his potential in the friendlies, he was easily the best player on the pitch against Malaysia.

Lads you cant judge someone so definitively pre-season or compare him with another player. If he wants to stay he must commit 100% and tell Kenny so. It might be that regardless, Kenny wants him out as he has a replacement in mind - or simply we need to cut the wage bill..

Personally I hope he stays, but yes, he needs to want to be in Liverpool. After his first experience of Liverpool, I understand him wanting to stay in Juve/Italy, but if that doesn't happen I don't see that this necessarily means he will not be happy and motivated at Liverpool.

Having finally seen him live, I now realise how big he actually is. Physically he isn't lightweight at all. Mentally? Well, time will tell. But I hope to see him given the chance to prove himself in the Premiership.

I think this player has had more assumptions made about him then any other in our recent history!

He's too lightweight ...... have we really seen that much of him in the Prem to say that....was Luis Garcia any different
He wants away........ have we heard him say this.....
He was loaned out by Hodgson after a season of injuries, which i think was a bad move ...... who's decision was this
He is playing for a move....is he, or is he just a good player which is now being highlighed as he has had a chance to prove.

My judgement after the matches he played for us in the prem before his loan, was he was getting more use to the league which he had very little time to adjust too and started to look a good player.
Against Malaysia who looked v good, can't really judge him on that i know but was head and shoulders above Miereless and Cole who i think are his main rivals for a spot in the squad.

I hope he stays and we get a chance to really see the player and then make a fair judgement !

Very sensible post.

I have been a supporter of Aqua since he signed. He is a very good player (you dont get into the Italy midfield if you are :censored:, or unable to out your foot in).

Personally i hope he stays and I think he will prove a lot of his doubters wrong.

One missing link last year: Aquilani. Put the ball near Ngog and the goal and it's going in. Too much talk of them somewhere else.

On and on the list goes
He goes missing
Hes not as good as Alonso
He doesnt have heart, desire or passion
Hes not a premiership player

Absolute pathetic bullsh'it

If he wants to stay we have a ready made play maker and forward looking midfielder with style and composure but most of all the ability to give that killer pass as was shown time and again yesterday
Will the "experts" who are slagging him admit they are wrong if KK keeps him and he does well for us?
I doubt it

I'm all for second chances, and if the commitment is there, then i don't see any reason for him not to be given another season here to prove himself.

We have nothing to lose, on paper, he is the ready made creative midfielder that we have been craving since Alonso left. Unless someone comes in with 10/15million bid for him we should retain his services. Sending him out on loan achieves nothing IMO.

I thought Aqua was brill yesterday. Definately keep him, he'l  flourish with the quality he brings and the others now bring. Out owner is cool BTW... talk about communication, take it all back -was worried we'd not signed.. too much time perhaps on out hands ay :)

What a midfield we have now.  Hopefully we'll get the balance right because we have about 8 players I'd be happy to see start across the middle of the park.  I think Aquilani has to be kept.  He's got a great pass on him, reads the game well, he good make many decisive passes over a season.  Why sell a creative player like that?  Italian international, can be brought on and make a real difference.  we've been moaning for years about a lack of depth in the squad.  Now we've got it, let's enjoy the fact and leave the headache of who to pick and what style to employ to Kenny (it's what he's paid for!).  :;):

He's very Alonso like IMO and that was the reason we bought him. He has great vision and can find the killer passes that we missed last year.
People said he was lightweight for the EPL, who could blame him just coming back from various serious injuries? Hes proven his fitness playing the majority of last year for Juve and I'm excited hes back at the club.

I rate him very highly and always have done ... Hope he proves many others at the club wrong.
