New 2011/12 away kit - At long last...

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

I preordered it awhile ago, now they say you get some LFC pack thing.  What the heck,  I don't get it now?

I got Suarez on the back for free, so maybe they switched that out and gave the pack thing.

Love the new kit tho, can't wait til it gets here.  They said they won't ship til like mid May right?

Don't like it, I just can't understand this popularity on black away kits.

Even the shorts and socks are black, how depressing.

Not into this one at all.  I actually prefer this year's black with yellow over this (probably because my son had me order one for him the day that Torres left, with Gerrard on the back) And it actually looks alright.  This one, I don't know, it's just blah.  I wouldn't normally make an issue over something like this, but the only reason I am is that shirt sales a a big part of revenue for the club.  And if you have a :censored: looking shirt, who is going to buy it?

wow cr.ap gets the censor smilie?

I won't celebrate Rafa going........ but I will be over the moon if Dalglish comes in. League within 2 years if he gets the job, AND YOU CAN QUOTE ME ON THAT.

I mean adidas are okay, don't have a problem with them but you assume some thought has gone into producing a nice new team strip.

It's like, "erm let's just make it all black" - "erm ok then".

Groan. At least it will save me buying it!

Our away form is depressing. At least we'll reflect our mourning correctly after each away defeat next season.

I would have preferred a nice all yellow, like the classic one with the red pin stripe.

On a serious note though wouldn't a brighter new kit feel more like a fresh start, instead of swapping one depressing black shirt for another one!

This new kit is a disappointment. Its virtually the same colour as the current 3rd kit, but the trim & lettering is white instead of yellow.

I suppose the backroom politics suggest Standard Chartered also get a say on which colours makes their sponsor stand out much better on away shirts?

I'll be happy to wait until next year when the new 2012/13 away kit is revealed. Hopefully is the all silver kit from 1988-91 & 2008/09.

Had a couple of hours doing the Warrior Home kit for LFC. Influenced from the 80s kit... any changes???

yellow trim is vile
All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing
'Bout the glory, round the Fields of Anfield Road
