absolutely delighted that he scored. hopefully Chelsea and Arsenal can go on a good run and stop Manure from winning the league.

better quality link it was a nice finish, may not have been helped by the horrible pitch but still, it was a nice finish. i doubt he would set the goalscoring charts alight though as he won't get the sort of service he got at Liverpool at Chelsea cause the strikers there play for themselves.

14 games at something like 200,000 a week = the first 2.8 million pound goal in the football league?!

.... and it came against West Ham.... pure class.

ah well, now they think he's going to start banging them in :D

That's the way it goes. Our club looks in a lot better position since he's gone. I'm sure he'd have looked an even better player had he embraced the changes at Anfield and worked with Kenny. Can't wait to see him at Anfield again though, should be interesting

Was a good finish to be fair, he kept his balance well. Anyway even if he does start banging them in im not bothered. I'm excited for the future of the club and no 1 player is above that. Besides, Chelsea's rebuilding job is almost as big as ours and Roman looks like he is losing interest anyway. He wants instant success and most of their better players are the wrong side of 30.

He got Malouda's assist as well, but that was just a bad pass considering he was trying to pass the ball to Anelka and it just rolled on through :D

disagree. the ball getting stuck in the mud made it harder for him as you can see in the video, he had to turn back when he went past the ball. he was quickest to react among everyone in the penalty box. and the Chelsea supported reacted as though they won the Champions League or something :D

I know it made it harder for him, but it made it way harder for the defender to defend it, he lost the ball.  If Torres would have kept going and shot, that defender was right there and there was a chance he would have blocked it.  But when it got stuck the defender kept going and ran right past torres.  By the time he realized where the ball was it was too late.

feck the goal or whether it was good, it's whether he kicks on from it now. Hope he goes away with Spain and gets crocked again, w@nker

He's history, his failure to score in his first 13 games vindicates the decision to let him go. I'll take Suarez and Carroll any day.
