Torres - Rent Boy - What now

The Premiership - General Discussion

Postby ethanr » Thu Apr 21, 2011 2:21 am

I didn't see that Newcastle game, but were either of the decisions worth a shout? and I heard Newcastle should have had a pen.

But ya, 13 games :) I was responding to a torres thing on soccernet and I said that, event tho I don't think it will happen, I wouldn't be surprised if torres went the rest of the season without scoring.  Some guy called me imaginative, ignorant, bias, ridciulous and a few other terms basically saying how horrible a person I was.

I'm starting to think I may be right :D

might be 13 in the league but he's definitely played more than that, I'm certain of it. Maybe that's not including European appearances?

The first game for torres with Chelsea was "Chelsea - Liverpool"

So, Premier League:

Chelsea - Liverpool
Fullham - Chelsea
Chelsea - Manchester
Blackpool - Chelsea
Chelsea - Manchester City
Stoke City - Chelsea
Chelsea - Wigan
WBA - Chelsea
Chelsea - Birmingham

9 games

Champions League:

FC København - Chelsea
Chelsea - FC København
Chelsea - Manchester UDT
Manchester UDT - Chelsea

4 games

FA Cup:

Chelsea - Everton

1 game

9+4+1 = 14

Torres didn't played Chelsea - Everton(FA Cup). 1 game.

14-1 = 13

13 games, 0 goals

Im delighted he hasnt scored.  The guy had it great at Liverpool.  We loved him and we tried to play tactics that got the best out of him.  He has never been good when he has a partner.  Villa overshadows him in the national team.

At Chelsea and clubs with lots of money, they assume they can just buy a great striker and they'll play great for them.  not the case.  You need 11 players playing in a system that gets the most out of the players.

I hope his Chelsea career never takes off and he ends up playing at West Brom with Woy

It was only a matter of time.  He got lucky that the ball got stuck in the mud or the defender wouldn't have ran right past him leaving him wide open :D

He got Malouda's assist as well, but that was just a bad pass considering he was trying to pass the ball to Anelka and it just rolled on through :D
