It's totally worth it tho.  It will last you twice as long as any other phone and you will be able to sell it when your done for 100 pounds anyway because they seem to last forever.  My phone lasts 4 days on average and I'm always using the internet, apps, texting, I make a sh!te load of calls for work.  4 days is a long time!

If you don't want to pay 400 then buy like the 3g or 3gs brand new.  You can get those for much cheaper and they are still great phones.

I think the iphone 3g looks a turd. It'd have to be the iPhone 4 for looks. but I just had a scan on ebay and your lucky to get one for less than £400 - £500 ! ???

I remember when I was around 10 or 11, I had to carry this humongous phone with me when I went out with a couple of mates, because me mum was very over protective, I looked silly :D

Charging every night isn't a problem. I'm only a light user anyway. I'm tempted to just pull the trigger on a Galaxy Ace and fuk it but summat is just niggling me that I'll feel a bit let down when I start using it. a typical day use for me, say on a saturday, answer 2 or 3 texts, use the internet for catching up with footie scores through the afternoon, maybe use email a little, send a few texts and thats about it.

well its good for that mate, they're more or less all the same in terms of how they operate anyway

The only reason I couldnt be bothered with the iphone is that I have a whole other product for listening to music and I dont like the idea of using my phone as my music player anyway. I dont think the iphone offers anything my current phone doesnt.

Like I said Lee, it does everything I want it to. You an get good apps for Liverpool news, the footie in general, BBC sport and the ESPN score centre lets you follow specific teams without having to go through each league

A vote for HTC here. I've got the Htc desire and for me it's the bollox.

A typical day for me is similar to yours with the odd bit of gaming thrown in (Angry Birds and Jewels) and I can get about two days use out of it, add to that it's solidly built and with a rumoured new model in the offing prices will be falling.

The HTC range is excellent with the HTC Desire and HTC Desire HD being the best. Phones4u are actually doing a deal in-store on the HTC Desire. If you have a pay as you go sim card that has been active for more than 6 months and has credit on it you can get the the HTC Desire for £229, which is a bargain.
