This is true, it might just not work for him, but i have 98% confidence he will be a good player in the EPL, not half as much of a risk as some of th other names being banded about recently.

We need to sign Suarez but if Ajax are being unreasonable, they are only going to get less at a later time.  When summer rolls around they will probably have to sell him for a decent amount less than we are offering.

Please don't sign N'Zogbia... that guy is so badly into himself but he's not good! he's quick but he's not good enough at crossing.

I think Nzogbia will give an added boost to our forward line, I actaully really like him, i cant decide if hes a decent player that looks good in cack teams and in a decent team he might flounder, but id be willing to give him a go, would be a great addition for counter attacks and for pepe to hit with a nice long throw.

We need to push the boat out and pay what we need to for Suarez IMO. We have needed a striker to support Torres for nearly 2 years now. What if Torres gets Injured?? More Ngog?? Its not worth thinking about!!

Pay the money now and recoup some back in the summer by selling all the deadwood!

A blindingly good point, Ok Torres looks now to have found some form, but he doesnt have a replacement :(

I hope something deal wise, suarez or not, happens soon

The thing about N'Zogbia is, yes you are right he has good pace, but there are other wingers we could sign with an equal pace to him.  Obviously Ashley Young comes to mind, but at this point with wigan valuing n'zogbia at 15, we might as well get Young who is obviously a much better player.  Quick, good with the ball, great passer and has a good shot.  N'zogbia does that stuff where he cuts in from the right, but he's always looking to shoot from a bad angle.  He tries to take shots from the corner of the 18 and loft them over the keeper into the back corner.  The problem is, he's not good enough to do this.  Every once in a while he scores and they put it in the highlight reals and all of the sudden he looks some amazing player.  What they don't show is him missing 5 or 6 of those a game trying to get the glory.  We need a winger who is quick and looks to play an extremely dangerous ball in.

I know exactly what your saying, i do believe though, that in a semi decent side he could be coached into being a much better player, i think of him as a Babel, only with talent and no twitter account :)

We have new owners who have said they want to take us back to the top of the league. Clubs with big players are obviously going to inflated the price. I really hope we find some compramise for Suarez. I don't think NZogbia is good enough tbh but would make a good squad player.

100% agree, hes going to have to get the chequebook out in order for us to progress, had too many years of "half decent" players coming in, time we made soe nice big signings to get us AT LEAST back in the top 4

Not trying to scare monger, I can understand Henry not wanting to get ripped off for Suarez but Adam? The guy would cost 10Mil max. Sounds like the same old story tbh. Yes I know it's still early days and things are being done behind closed doors but if the rumors are to be believed.....

Things have moved on since a few years ago. More teams have big money and as a concequence the league is more competitive. We need to be equally as competitive if we are serious about getting back to the top.

I just hope that all this moaning is for nothing and come 01/02 we will have a few quality additions to the squad.

Ok twice in the same thread!!! I 100% agree, that is EXACTLY how i feel, we seem to have gone back to the go in low and late for transfers and be left in the shizzle when it comes to the end of the transfer window.

Like you, hope im wrong, but it does feel awfully familiar

Ben I think sometimes one does end up paying unrealistic prices. There's a difference between conducting all transfer business shrewdly and going all out to get in someone of real quality. If we were reigning champions and were looking to fresh blood then I'd say move on but Torres is crying out for someone of equal talent alongside him. And it's not like any other clubs will let alternatives with equally talented players go on the cheap.

I just think Suarez needs to be the exception.

Nan I reckon there are other bidders out there. Spurs have made a bid ad I wouldn't e surprised if there 1 or 2 others waiting till the last minute.
