Seen Gladiator for the first time last week, dont know why I never seen it before and I thought it was very good although some of the CGI looked dated already!

Also watched Road to Perdition which I really enjoyed, for some reason Id never even heard of this film before even though it had won some Oscars. It has a strong cast and is definitely worth a watch

Road to Perdition is excellent DD, you ever watched Millers Crossing

I finally got round to seeing the final of Millieniuem trilogy The girl who kicked Hornet nests and found it bit weak. Definately not as good as Played with fire and pick of bunch for me Girl with Dragon's tattoo

Watched "Inception" last night, CGI driven but very very good. Image 8/10

Also saw "The American" (George Clooney) . At the start I thought I was in for a very good movie but that initial optimism soon faded as it became clear that this deliberately vague tale of a hit man on his final assignment whilst filled with style was extremely light on substance. A pity as the performances and actual production were top notch but the film itself was ulitmately disappointing. Image 5/10

Maybe if I'd seen it in the cinema instead of on my tv Daws I may have scored it higher. Although the premise was great invention much of it's appeal, for me at least, was the spectacular use of cgi. Certainly one of the most entertaining films I've seen this year.

Agreed on both counts. :nod

Watching some of the horror movie classics from the 70s of late (tis' the season).  I must say the original Omen was quality!  Amityville Horror had moments but was very disjointed and The Exorcist still gives me chills.

Speaking of, rewatched the Exorcism of Emily Rose the other night as well.  I'd forgotten how tense that one gets and the exorcism scenes are top drawer.  Not for the feint of heart.  :oh:
