You guys know 100 times more about football than I do. Who fits that description?

Not Rafa :D

Diego Simeone is free at the moment, I think. One of the best possible choices in my opinion.

Someone they may look at who is an up and comer is Di Matteo at West Brom.
He done a decent job at the MK Dons and appears to be following that on at West Brom.
They have started this season really well.

I am not saying we should be going for him by the way.

Just that he appears to be someone of the mould that redsoxfan said that our new owners may look towards.

Good point
But we are going over the same ground here. I have said that Roy needs to sort it (if he can) asap. If not, he goes. Benitez would not have improved on last year and possibly would have taken us down to where we are now. If not this low, near as dammit.
Best he went. Lets leave it as that and move on.

Ah but it could be different this time as we have new owners so we wouldn't keep missing out on top players and have to shop in bargain basement. It's taken only 8 games for pretty much everyone to realise how bad Roy is. Rafa is the only real option left.

Get him back!  :buttrock

Why do you keep saying it will be him? Has someone actually told you that?

Noooooooo....! We need someone who knows English football and our culture.  Di Matteo would be a better choice IMHO.

Joachim Leow :nod

I just found this article:
Joachim Löw signs contract extension with Germany after World Cup success
Germany coach Joachim Löw has ended speculation over his future by announcing he has extended his contract until after Euro 2012 in Poland and Ukraine.
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport....ss.html

But he really does seem to be the type they'd like, from what I have just researched about him. Is it possible for him to do both the German job and Liverpool at the same time? Perhaps hire a strong #2 also, and the #2 would take command while Loew has to attend to the German games? Or is that impossible?

Klinsmann seems to be a bit ego-driven. They don't like that. There was speculation that he wanted full control, from A to Z, when he was interviewed for the USA job. I don't see Henry agreeing to that.

I dont get your post at all Bav.

Why is Rafa the only real option left ?
I understand you would have him back, i personally wouldnt to be honest.
But that's all just opinions.

The fact that he has just started a new job at Inter means he blatantly insnt an option anyway regardless of our differing opinions on him coming back though.

Don't think it will work out, mate. I don't think it will go down well with us and I would certainly think it will not go down well with the Germans.

This is the issue, most current Football Managers would insist with total/full control of the setup of the club. Henry will do well to find someone good enough to meet him half way.

Who is out there who can turn this thing around, inspire good players, get rid of the dross, change the attitude and get us up the table?
Dont for one second say martin o' Fu*king neill please. Or Kenny Dalglish, Kevin Keegan, Glenn Hoddle, sven goran erickson, gary megson, steve mclaren, fabio capello or any other ridiculous suggestion
Real, viable, credible options please?

Rafa Benitez
