Your favourite lfc jersey

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

well i did what i promised i would do when we got rid of hicks and gillet and that was lift my merchandise ban.
this morning headed into town and bought the new white jersey which i think looks the biz :buttrock .
got home and put it on straight away, the missus slagged the tits off me for acting like a little kid but it got me thinking.
over the years i had many lfc jerseys and still have a lot of them now.my personal favourite all time is the yellow crown paints jersey with the red parrallel lines on it.
i always liked the v neck, double barrel sponsor and the 3 stripes on the sleeves much like the new one i just bought which might over time take the top spot.
my worst is the red carlsberg one with the cricket collar seconded by the green and white carlsberg one with the 1 inch high collar.i think it had a button on it. :eyebrow .
they were my two favorites and two worst and wouldnt mind hearing what is your favourites.

I always liked the 92 strip that we won the FA cup in, even though every team sponsered by Adidas at the time had a kit that looked exactly the same. Looking back through the years at Dawsons link the 96 kit sticks out as a class looking strip, and we'll always have the memory of "Collymore closing innnnn!!!" against Newcastle that year wearing it. Last seasons and this seasons are pretty nice strips too

My first kit was 89. Can still remember wearing it all morning out the back garden kicking the ball about the day of the Cup final against Everton.

Must say I like the current shirt! Best for a umber of years. Worst is the Michael Owen FA Cup era Reebok shirt with that awful scratchy collar - dont know how the lads played in them.

I have 7 red home shirts from 1965 thru to the current. Reckon I'll just carry on buying them for posterity...

I'll always have a soft spot for this one as it's the kit they wore when they first caught my eye as a lad.

My personal best is 1971 fa cup final one. They weren't that easy to get hold of those days. And i got one just that white liverbird with fa cup final 1971. PRICELESS

My first shirt was the 1988/89 Candy one. It looks naff now but back then it was dead snazzy.

I like the current one a lot, pity we have one of the worst sides in recent memory wearing it.

As for the worst, I hate/d the 1991/1992 one, it deviated too much from the club's traditional colours and it brings back awful memories of the Souness era.

As for bad jerseys, some of the goalie jerseys David James wore over the years were absolutely atrocious.

and this season's yellow and black one is nice too. already got it.

and there are a few training kits which do look good as well.

Probably my favourite would be early 80s umbro pinstripe with just a plain Liverbird and Crown Paints logo.

Never liked the Candy years much
