5 star performance - To make it 5 stars on the jersey

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Postby Pool Boy » Mon Apr 25, 2005 3:24 pm

I know this should probably be in the Chelsea thread but with all the doom and gloom around today after the weekend result lets not forget the most important match this club has had in 20 years is just around the corner. We may not qulify for the CL through the league but by God there's all to play for against Chelsea. I've been following the Reds for over 20 years now and I haven't looked forward to a match as much as this since the UEFA final....

We may be cr@p in the league but I know that once we kick off against Chelsea league position will not matter....it will be 90 mins of tough football but you know every player WILL be giving it all for the chance to turn them over....I ask you......what other team would current Liverpool players want to beat most of all this week....the team that's turned them over 3 times in very close matches. I actually expect a top performance over both legs with us with at least a 50/50 chance....I'm not afraid of Chelsea.....they have more to lose than us....

I mention the 5 stars performance because as 4 times previous winners I didn't notice the stars on our jersies against Juventus......I wasn't looking for them but I just can't remember seeing them.....?....I can see 5 stars on the jersey though next year...

My prediction....decide what is your favourite kebab....you'll be eating them in May.

My prediction......
We'll get beaten 2-1 at the bridge
and win 1-0 at Anfield.

its going to be very tight, i honestly think we can score cos chelseas defend just seem a bit wobbly, im going for 1-1 at the bridge and 0-0 at home much like ac milan vs inter milan 2 years ago at this stage when ac milan drew 0-0 when they were the team drawn 0-0 at home and drew 1-1 away when inter were the supposed home team

Turks make kebabs? I very much doubt so. I thought they originate from Pakistan or India.

I have heard that if we win it we will keep it.....don't know if their source was reliable though....I think we'll score on Wednesday....1-1 or 2-1 defeat.

1-0 at Anfield. I feel an away goals victory for us......

I'm a bit more optimstic and think we will win 2:0. Just a gut feeling though. I predict Riise and Gerrard will score for us.   :;):

I have a gut feeling that we will beat chelski home and away.  All the games against them have been really tight this season and they've had the rub of the green every time.  We are due a bit of luck against them.

Both games will be tight again but we will come out on top by a single goal in both games . . . I hope
