So after a few months with roy, was sacking rafa - The right thing to do?

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

yes it was the right thing to do, he has made a club full of young kids that dont fit into the club, and i am not talking about the first team,. 70 odd players he took to this club during his time and for me we have been left with a load of no hopers, now we com onto the first team that he built. In trurh two years ago i think he got it almost spot on but did not use them right.....and them last year he lost the plot with them, would the big two names still be at theclub if e was here, well its hard to say, only going what i have been told i would have to say 100% not, but others seem to think they would, only time will tell on that when their books come out.

Benny The Noon wrote:You only replace a manager if there is credible improvement available - there was no one better than Rafa available so it was a wrong for him to go and the proof is in the pudding from what we have seen . When you replace a manager with an inferior manager then things get worse and they have got worse - they are facts that cannot be denyed . People said during the summer that rafa should only go if someone better could come in but the reply from certain people was " anyone but rafa " and " plenty managers would come to us " and " plenty managers could easily get us into top 4 " - well guys you got your wish .

Absolutely correct, and this was the argument of those who were against Roy, nice bloke'en all, but not Liverpool Manager material... personally this lost deserved..... BIG SAM YEH  :rasp

That was a slight.. but oh am I eating me words now  :upside:

Would Stevie and Fernando have stayed, YES .IMO and thats all that he has fell out with this and that peoples opinions, Did any of them ask for a move, NO

how do you know that? those comments are merely an opinion form out of an assumption and are not factual. and Rafa wouldnt have signed Cole as he wouldnt have known he was available anyway, he was too busy crying to the media he had no funds after spending 40million on Keane and Aquilani.

No one knows what would of happened if Rafa would of stayed - it's al speculation . But can anyone honestly say we would be 18th in the Prem if Rafa stayed .

From what you been told ?! Well going by recent evidence on takeover I would suggest you been told next to f.uck all - and please also tell us who these kids are that don't fit into the club ?

Isn't that what you're doing: assuming?

Which once again is an opinion not a fact . Were we ever this bad under Rafa . The fact is no - in fact not been this bad a start for 50 odd years . So currently the evidence is pointing to changing the manager was an incorrect choice .

Thats a different question!!!!!

Last seasno we were awful. His buys were awful, everyone saw it, everyone knew it. We will never know where wed be if Rafa was still here, or which players wed have.. we cant see that!

What we do know is it was well past his time to go.

Choice was perfectly correct to anyone who knows anything about anything.

Sounds good.  Too much important things going on right now to care about Rafa or Roy.

Its a relevant question - the point that you and a few others miss is - You change managers to improve and move forward - have we done that - if its yes then the changing of managers is correct - if its no then the changing of managers is incorrect . You all seem to think "anyone but Rafa" BUT we are currently in 18th because we changed managers . If there is no one better available then you dont change managers because you go backwards - and look what is happening currently - we are going backwards .
