Would love Loew here but isn't he contracted till after the next Euros? Anyway lets get the yanks out first before we talk about moving forward on the pitch. Loew is a good shout though.

Dalglish is a legend but has been out of the game far too long unfortunatly.

I was always against Klinsmann in the past but i saw a doc about the development of the Germany Team by changing the info structure of the German game to focus on young players and even though Loew gets lots of Credit he himself accounts a lot of it to Klinsmann.

When you look at what John Henry did for the Redsox by bringing in a young forward thining manager like Theo Epstein, i believe Klinsmann may be a better fit for us.

Tis very true Rushie, but I fear Klinnsmanns (admittedly fairly innocent) role as a stooge in the Benitez "shock horror how dare the club consider somebody else when the manager keeps saying he might leave" affair has tarnished him forever.

Were he to be given the job, he would be given about the same amount of respect as Roy was/is. That can't be in anyones best interests.

Why are we still talking about if Hodgson is sacked. If the NESV deal goes through, Hodgson stays. They've said it themselves.

Because some want us to think hes not good enough and therefore linking him to getting sacked.

I honestly think that meanwhile the Yanks are at the club any manager will be burnt.

And I wouldn't like to see a red manager like Dalglish, or Aldo burnt.

I also think that it's mathematically impossible that a team with Reina, Gerrard, and Torres will not end in the top 10, so I wouldn't advocate to change the manager under any circumstance

Totally agree with that Sabes. If Hodgson can't get this team/squad into the top 10 by the end of the season, he should definitely be bombed out. Even if we do end up top 10, I would take some convincing that a manager who doesn't at least equal last years effort deserves another crack.

IMHO the team/squad is entitled to challenge for the top four. That said, now Man City are properly emerging as realistic contenders right at the top of the league I think it's unlikely we will attain that level at the end of it all. If we do, I think it's been an excellent effort.

For me the par score would be around 6th, behind Tottenham and Man City again but ahead of Villa. Obviously an FA Cup win or indeed a Europa League Cup win would make eighth or something similar a little easier to stomach.

Loew was Klinsmanns assistant when Klinsmann started the "revolution" in german football. Loew has benefited from the focus on developing young players that Klinsmann started.

Loew has a contract with the german national team at least until euro2012 so he is unlikely to want to come here anytime soon. Klinsmann is a much more likely choice if we have to have a german manager.

Yeah, I agree Klinsmann may be permanently tarnished by his (presumably innocent) role in the debacle a few years ago and supporters might question whether he was/is a bit chummy with Hicks/Gillett.

Roy will probably be given the rest of the season by the new owners but barring a miracle (such as a tremendous turn about in form and a cup) I'll wager he will be replaced by the new owners next summer as the look to undergo root and branch reform.

That is, of course, if the deal goes through.

The reality is that had the club not been up for sale and we hadnt had the turmoil off the field Roy would have been sacked after the Blackpool game. Even someone as patient and easy going as David Moores would have pulled the plug after that.

Roy can count himself a lucky man in that respect.

Of course they are going to say that... for now. They are not really going to make more waves saying he is a dead man walking when they haven't even taken over yet.
