I was on here browsing the forums last night, but I just couldnt put into words how i felt. After watching MOTD on BBC2, i was in a state of jaw dropping shock. It must ave been a sureal place to be in Anfield yesterday. I thought Northampton was bad, but at least in that game we only has 4 maybe 5 first team regulars to use as an excuse, but it was "Northampton", common.

As for Blackpool, I don't know what the excuse for yesterday was??? All in all, fair play to Blackpool, they deserved their win. And if Liverpool supporters want Change, in all areas, from Owners, Manager and player attitudes, then games like these are the bad medicine we need to cure this fucked state we're in.

I actually have sympathy for Hodgson. But he should not have been appointed in the first place. All those of us who are now saying, "Told you so, Roy wont work" feel vindicated. And the finger of blame is pointing at the board directors or Who ever makes the decisions in appointing the manager.

If Roy goes by either resignation or sacking, the directors must give the majority of fans their wish by appointing Dalglish, who was clearly interested in taking the reins. Then at least, if Dalglish screws up, the board can point the finger back at the majority and say "Told you so too".

Seemingly There is no influence on or off the pitch at the moment. In hindsight, anyone can be a genius, but it doesnt take a genius to know its already Time for a change at Liverpool.

When those 2 yanks are gone, hopefully those whose job it is to appoint, will listen to the people and fans this time.

And if it all goes Pete Tong, well then Kenny gets crucified............no ifs or buts.............then we are back to square 1......

Theres the thing Mick, if the above situation happens and he gets the chop after the derby the new guy needs to come in and show us that he can do a proper job, In the few months hes been at the helm Hodgson really hasnt showed that, he hasnt learned or adpated to cope with whats been going wrong and thats the frightning thing. People can go on until their blue in the face about how the owners are the cancer that is destroying the club but their is more than enough talent in the current squad to dispatch sides like Blackpool, Sunderland and Northampton at Anfield for Christ Sake. We may not have been expecting great things this year but NO ONE was expecting us to be in a relegation dogfight which according to Roy Hodgson we are currently in.

What you're really looking for with a new manager is long term success and progress, be it Hodgson, Benitez or whoever. We are also looking for the "progress" part to be immediate, which asks a further question of any incumbent.

Now only a mug would claim we have improved this season over last based on what we have seen so far. We were poor last season, we've been awful so far this. My point is that sometimes building takes time, infact it usually does in football.

Now if Roy does get the bullet because we aren't prepared to be patient and because we aren't prepared to properly back him (and lets face it many haven't from day one), then it is imperative that we don't over burden any new manager with tasks of immediacy. Be it Pelligrino, Dalglish, Martin O Neill or whoever, I hope that once people have got the "well I wouldn't have gone for him" off their chest, they properly get behind him.

The next 3 yes, when you reach 10 games in a season and you only win 1 game out of 10, then doubts will come into people's mind. However, I don't think it will be case, hopefully we will hit the ground running against Everton. The manager has to get it right and the players have to stop acting like tw@ts on the field and play it right as well.

how lucky we have Roy right now, if Kenny had got the job we would still have this same team and a very high chance we still would have had the same results, then what we would say about Kenny, Kenny did not go for the job as he knew this was going to happen

Ofcourse. But you dont expect a year of demolition first. And when you build something, even in football, there are usually some positive signs of a building going up.

The only problem Mick, is when you reach half into the season only getting 1 win and most are draws and losses, at the bottom of the table, what do you do? do you give the manager more time? People will start asking questions like what happens if we get relegated? do we give the manager another year in the championship? etc.. etc..

I don't think we can afford that, but hopefully non of this will happen, Roy will figure something out and we will go on a winning streak (I hope)

Lets not blame Rafa for Roy's team losing at home to Northampton and Blackpool. Roy even admitted its his fault.

It makes me laugh that a few of you are blaming Rafa Benitez for the current dreck. Time to let that grudge go guys, hes not the guy that has us camped out on our own 18yd line at home, with the attacking intent of that team of blind guys in the Paddy Power adverts.
