He looks happy when he is not playing but as soon as he pulls the shirt on his confidence seems to fall away, just lke with Spain in the world cup.

wonder if he is home sick or something, i feel theres more to it than just football.

Amazing isnt it how youve got the likes of Clemence and Redknapp having a dig a Fernando theway he is playing , Well ive only seen the Birmingham game so far this season and apart from going and standing in Pepes eighteen yard box ,Pepe passing the ball to him and him taking every oppo player on there not much else he could have done, the service he got was diabolical. nothing from the middle and nothing from the wings,. I watched Spain while i was away and im telling you there is feck all wrong with Fernando his contibution was brilliant, aswell as the brilliance of players around him, Redknapp has got far to big for his boots lately boots that dont even come close to being anywhere near as good as Fernandos and he need to put a lid on it , the team need to step up and provide the service or eventualy you might just see more of Fernando in Pepes eighteen yard box shouting give it straight to me Pepe lad,
Ive got another moan an all SO i might aswell finish it in here , Maxi people are moaning but thats what you get for 1.5 million.

but nan you got to add them he is not getting himself in the right places when the ball is being put in.

As far as I remember on sunday only once did a player (I think it was Johnson) get to the edge of the box and put a decent cross in. Torres scuffed it but at least he was there. We need more crosses like that and less of the hit and hope crosses from 40,50,60 yards. Crouch has gone but some players havent noticed.

yes but 8 other times we a player got to the box and there was no other liverpool player there to take the ball so the player did not cross it, SG put a great ball in but toress was 15 yards off the pace.

Agree with this.
That team and set up and Sunday did him no favours at all.
Lets hope Baz is right and Roy wises up and plays the likes of Meireles and Cole.
I cant for the life of me understand why we would a) start with those two at centre midfield.
b) not change it when they were being dominated.

Torres will be fine when he gets some service.
You set your team up in a way that should be to get the best out of your best players and fit in others alongside them.
Its wasting Gerrard and Torres if you have a midfield like that behind them.

You're right the service from midfield was truly awful, no creativity whatsoever. This is why I advocate playing Gerrard in the middle at all times, but that's for another day.

What I would say is Torres wasn't making the same runs as he does on a good day. His movement was limited, whether due to injury or not?

He isn't fit hence we are not seeing the best of him. We may see glimpses of his best over the coming 2-3 games but until he has another few games under his belt and a few more miles in the legs he will continue to look off the pace. That being said he HAS to play in order for us to get him to that point!!

He scored 2 for Spain didnt he? I dont think he's only injured when he plays for us?

the problem is egos. When u know u can play in any side in the world and your here knowing u are playing for nothing no champions league etc its the same with glen johnson he thinks he derserves better they are both unhappy and want a move.
