Agreed with that, I hope we meet them next year in the champions league and trounce them

was he on the team when we knock him out of the uefa cup and go on n win it during Hollier's day?

maybe he is bearing a grudge.
ya, will be looking forward to whack them again when barca go out of the group stage n drop into the uefa cup.

Barcelona couldn't afford Torres so I don't know what he is yapping about. Honestly these Barca players have no shame at all in just helping to tap up other players.

Graham hunter on talk sport just said if torres has another bad yr at Liverpool then hes off to Barca. A deal has been put in place and its up to him. they want him to team up with villa. I dont think that league suits him anyway but you never know.

He's potentially a good striker, exactly like Lukaku. Roy Keane has valued him at £10m and Lakaku is already valued at around £12m-£15m he'll go for more IMO with the likes of the Mancs, Real Madrid, AC Milan, Barca etc in tow.

It's about time people started to realise that with twit & :censored: in charge we aint got the money. Another set of f(cking fantasists, the internet is full of em unfortunately. :;):

Well if we sold them 4 i mentioned we could get them so shut it lad and leave ur negative opinions about people 2 urself. Ill have u know im a pretty grounded lad i know the situation thats why i didnt say go out and buy Aguero and Ibrahimovics and lets get Silva aswell

I dont understand how selling players and buying players 4 roughly the same ammount of money and slashing the wage bill is living in a fantasy world

Especially when 1 of the lads supports Liverpool and would jump at the chance 2 get him

Then Bring in  Romelu Lakaku and Connor Wickham

I wouldnt worry about getting rid of 4 players and only bringing in 2 because i think roy will stick 2 the 1 up front anyway plus Nemeth didnt even feature least season

Wed be slashing the wage bill, wed recoup more money then we would need 2 spend on them which would free up some cheddar 4 other areas and wed be adding another homegrown player 2 the squad. Both r young and imho better. Plus they both r good target men aswell as being technically sound

I'd be worried if Woy sells Kuyt and N'Gog, the other two are not particularly inventive sales but those two would be mad sales. We get more out of Kuyt than we would by selling him. While some may have thought Woy would dump Kuyt, he obviously sees what Kuyt gives the side, although some will be a bit concerned we're still playing players out of position - although Kuyt now looks relatively accomplished on the right.

Kuyt may have taken one in his crown jewels for the team, but some of the bashing he gets on here is a knife in the back in metaphorical terms.

And I'd be as worried if those two are who Woy brought in. Wickham hasn't even proven himself in the top flight

We can't go spending £10m on Conor Wickham just because Ipswich don't want to let him go and realise those who covet him can be milked for £££. We need to be more shrewd than go for players already earmarked as "going to be quality" and therefore show a price tag which over-reflects their potential rather than their current ability.

Agree  mate Kuyt give s alot 2 the team i just think hes one of r saleable assists that wouldnt be a step back IMHO I take Lukaku over Kuyt anyday hes a beast of a player already and would be brilliant upfront with Torres (again IMHO) i understand ur concerns over Wickham but he would be 3rd choice and ive seen him play a fair bit now 4 Ipswich and U18s-21s and i dont think hed let any down.

I also think that in the long run wed get far more from them then we would from the 4 players i mentioned.

Also i appreciate the fact u didnt persume u knew me like that clown and rope me into a"fantasist group"

I'm not really sure why callers on the debate just now suggested Crouch rather than Carlton Cole. Crouch didn't manage more than 9 PL goals in any season at Anfield. In his last season at Anfield he managed 5 in 21 PL games. Last season for Spurs he managed 8 in 38 PL games. I'd give Carlton Cole a go Crouch isn't the man to stand in for Torres.

I'd rather he be rested of course but, if he's going to play, it's fantastic to see him bag a brace of goals.  It'll do his confidence a world of good after the World Cup he endured with Spain and it will continue the scoring form he started vs. WBA.  Hopefully he'll carry that over to the Brum and Manc matches.

Both of the goals were rather nice, that was what Spain was missing so badly in the WC.  I know they won but they struggled badly to create anything in the final third most of the time during the WC.  IMO at least, luckily they just outpossessed people until they finally scored.

Liverpool striker Fernando Torres has been branded "diabolical" and accused of lacking the desire to perform at the top level by former Anfield hero Jamie Redknapp.

Torres, who has struggled for form since suffering an adductor injury last season, looked off the pace during Liverpool's 0-0 draw with Birmingham at St Andrews and struggled to make an impact against centre-backs Roger Johnson and Scott Dann.

The Spain international has been widely criticised since the World Cup and Redknapp is the latest expert to lay into Torres.

"Fans will suffer to a certain extent when you give the ball away, but they won't suffer a lack of effort," Redknapp said. "Out there for 45 minutes today he (Torres) has been terrible. He hasn't got hold of the ball, he hasn't chased, he's got frustrated, he could have been booked, he's been diabolical.

"I'm his biggest fan, and of course you have to give Johnson and Dann credit, but he's shown no appetite for the game. He's looked frustrated, sloppy, lethargic. I know people talk about his rustiness, but he looked fed-up."

gotta agree with Jamie here. Torres did not look as if he cared.

Torres looks like hes going through the motions and wont be here for much longer, hmmm lets see playing in a team with Messi, Iniesta, Xavi, Villa, Mascherano? or Lucas & Poulson?, Hodgson or Guardiola? I know which one Id choose.
There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.
