Gee  cant say that im disappointed by this news

Liverpool forward Luis Garcia has been overlooked by Spain boss Luis Aragones for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Belgium and Lithuania.

The in-form former Barcelona player has made a bright start to his career on Merseyside but has been unable to muscle in on the Spanish national team.

His new Anfield team-mate Xabi Alonso has been selected, however, and is likely to play in both games.

Arsenal forward Jose Reyes has been included after making a terrific start to his first full season at Highbury.

Real Madrid striker Fernando Morientes has surprisingly been left out of the squad for the qualifying games against Belgium and Lithuania after the Spanish club's dismal start to the season.

I don't think this is bad news, now that he can't play for Spain we won't have to worry about him getting injured.

I wish all of our players would be in the same situation as Garcia for the reasons  you mentioned.
