Mascherano should be 25 million.
I wouldnt sell for any less.

By the way agree with Benny about Salcido. He is a very good player and would improve our side without doubt imo.
Sabre looks like a big lezzer

Trouble is Mash has left the club in an awkward position by saying he wants to leave and now refuses to play. I assume he wont be paid and will be fined this weeks wages at the very minimum. Barca know we are now in a corner and these monster clubs are very clever at this sort of thing. Madrid have turned us over a few times with clever tactics in luring players and clearing one or two off their own books in our direction. I hope we dont falll for all this sort of thing again and demand cash only so we can choose our own players instead of being forced into taking one in a take or leave it situation.

Liverpool near deals for PSV Eindhoven's Ola Toivonen and Carlos Salcido

As Liverpool prepare to face Manchester City tonight, the Merseyside club are closing in on a deal to sign PSV Eindhoven duo Ola Toivonen and Carlos Salcido.

Daily Telegraph 23 Aug 2010

Liverpool are close to signing Ola Toivonen from PSV, along with team-mate Carlos Salcido.
PSV are holding out for £13m for Sweden forward Toivonen, with Liverpool currently only prepared to pay £10m for the former Malmo player.

Liverpool Academy ambassador Kenny Dalglish was in Holland on Sunday to watch Toivonen in action for PSV in their 3-1 victory against AZ Alkmaar in the Phillips Stadion.

While PSV are determined to hold out for their valuation to be met, coach Fred Rutten has admitted that, "I can’t block the transfer."

Liverpool are facing renewed attempts from Barcelona to sign the Argentina midfielder Javier Mascherano.

Mascherano has made it clear he wishes to leave Anfield, but Liverpool have insisted that the player is not for sale.

Juventus offer Trezeguet in Liverpool talks for Kyrgiakos, Insua   24.08.10

The Daily Mail says Juve are looking for a new home for 32-year-old France striker Trezeguet, who has also interested Spanish clubs, and he has been touted as an alternative to struggling Fernando Torres at Anfield.

Trezeguet’s agent Antonio Caliendo said: "It is true that Liverpool are interested, but they are not the only team. Zaragoza and Hercules are also interested in him. We are evaluating and, after a day of reflection, we will consider what action to take."

Juve boss Luigi Del Neri wants to add a defender and reports in Italy suggest Kyrgiakos has emerged as a target. The Greece international only arrived from AEK Athens for £2million last summer, but Liverpool are well-stocked with central defenders - including Jamie Carragher, Daniel Agger, Martin Skrtel and new boy Danny Wilson.

Argentina left back Emiliano Insua could also be offered to the Turin side.

12 million is a typo error right?  ???  i dont find it funny at all. its plain disrespectful. just because we've financial issues wit hthe club doesnt mean we're gonna let everyone rip us off like that.

Barca are tw@ts mate, their pursuit of Fabregas showed as much
All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing
'Bout the glory, round the Fields of Anfield Road
