Good squad player, may surprise all of us and grow into a good 1st team player. I certainly hope so, but at the same time, I also hope he doesn't start too many games if we have the right players fit. Must be something in him, you don't get into Brazil's national team for nothing. Though admittedly, DM is a position that most Brazilians don't aspire to play in :D

he did well when he came on.

Couldn't see Roy starting him from the off, I know it will burst some bubbles around here cause certain people 'like him' but that's where he should be playing from, coming on from the bench. Not a starter like he was in almost every game last season. Good management Roy :;):

I agree this.

This season you like players out of position like Agger, or that has changed to good management now?  :D

I said last season that Agger looked good at LB.

He's gone Sabre, let it go.  :D

He did ok when he came on and is a useful squad player.  Not a vital player as some suggest, you certainly don't miss him when he's not on.

The lad tries his best, fair play to him but he's not in my starting 11.

I think most reds would agree with that.  :nod

That is the gist of it.

He is a decent player, he isnt rubbish like people have said in the past.
Just a steady eddie that can come in and will do ok.
Not first choice but definitely worth his place in the squad.

Definitely No bubbles burst  especially after one game ,plenty of time for Lucas to be integrated into the teams defensive set up that the manager seems to be deploying in games .... I expect we will see a lot more of Lucas in away games .... might tend to put the gloating on an even keel   :D

Good shout Lad ....It seems some posters stand by that age old adage Sabres
"Only when it Suits " ..... which basically means Rafa was castigated and Roy is applauded simply because it fits their new agenda ..... some people have more faces than the proverbial clock

What gloating do you mean ?  ???

I agree he will play enough football this season as there are plenty of games and it's a lomg season.
I am sure he will do ok when he comes in. But he isn't someone that should be starting games if everyone is fit and available.

I am sure if and when Lucas plays he wont let anyone down, nor will he stand out.

Like i said good player to have in the squad.

Not referring to you Lad ,I am just having a pop at the posters who constantly use Lucas to have a sly dig at the past manager ... If people genuinely want us all to pull together this season then the sarcastic barbs need to stop .... Fucking sick to the back teeth of the clueless roots .... every thread is used  as a vessel for a little snipe .... I wouldnt mind I have genuinely had funnier root canals than these Fuckers feeble  attempts at humour .... but I guess that's what passes in ooter parts .....

That was a genuine spelling mistake ....Although when I look back on it, maybe it was a subliminal message and this had indeed been my true intention all along ............... funny though  :D

I actually agreed his post, it wasn't a dig to Hodgson, nor a Rafa defence, just a little joke about how we'll see overlooked a lot of things this season. We'll see some strange decissions, we'll see mistakes, maybe even some rotation about european games, we'll see a Liverpool manager doing the best he can.

Like yesteryear and the year before. It will be good for the footballing debate that every decission is not analysed with magnifying glasses, in a way it's good Rafa's gone.

Now we need time, 2 or 3 years, and we'll see where this man leads Liverpool results wise. No matter what this forum does in the mean time, there is no doubt Hodgson also will have the support of Anfield, the atmosphere yesterday was good on my screen  :D
