some problems still have not gone away....the owners, I take it the guy was told that big named players were coming to the club last season.....what he got was a player that was not fit.

he must also feel that the club did not help the team last season when they felt the manager was not talking to them, going but what other players have said sonce Rafa left, Rafa almost shut himself away from the players for most of last season.

Torres just feels let down by the club

The club have also stuck by Torres despite his injury problems and have done everything to keep him happy. I am not sure why any club would give assurances about players that are coming in, and if Torres bought into that hes clearly been nieve because no footballer controls transfers. I think Hodgson is right to come and say he cant, or more likely wont, do anymore talking with Torres and it looks like hes running out of patience with the player now. Like I said in a previous post, his mucking about is holding up our rebuilding plans and we really cannot move on recruting forwards until hes made his mind up. Trouble is for Torres hes in a corner because he wont go to Real Madrid who would take him tomorrow, and Barcelona have Villa who he always plays second fiddle too so he wont care for that either. No one in Italy can afford him and their best team has taken on his former manager who hes not keen on either. If he goes I assume it will be City or Chelsea but his problem then is dealing with the heat that will come his way from the adoring Liverpool public who have backed him to the hilt and he knows it too.

ok lakes... as usual you will mention all reasons and some of it will come true...

I still think your hypothesis of the players demanding that the previous manager leave is absolutely bollox...

I'd be extremely disappointed in Torres the man if he angled for a move right now, forgetting about the impact it would have on the football club. He's always come accross as a thoroughly honourable and decent young fella to me, and I think to leave us now would be a poor decision.

I wouldn't go as far as saying he "owes" us after all he's given the club, but I do think that after last years injury ravaged season it'd be good if he gave us one last shot. This would be excellent not only to get us back into the Champions League and give us a better chance of getting a top quality replacement, but also would give us a better chance of getting a fair price for Fernando himself if and when he moves on.

I know he reads my posts :D so I'll say this: Stick around for one more season Fernando lad and go out in a blaze of glory. Liverpool fans won't begrudge you if you do that. That's how great players leave, on the back of a titanic effort. You're far too good a player to skulk out of the back door while nobody's looking. Do it properly, do a lap of honour next summer if you really want to go. Think about it mate.

I think having Torres comes with a price, that it makes playing 4-4-2 less possible as he seems to play better alone up front, so the club will struggle to attract a second quality striker which leaves us struggling WHEN he is injured (as opposed to if)

If you play one up front then players won't come because it's then like the goalkeeping position - one place up for grabs. To some extent that might be true of the full-back slots, or wings, but we have one of the best in the world in the CF slot and the same can't be said of the full-back or wing slots - well maybe Kuyt is one of the best in the world!  :D

As if a written account of happenings is any more concrete proof than hot air :no

The bible is a book, are you saying all events within are factual.......................!?!?!?!?  :upside: (EDIT : by virtue of it being in a book, not because you were talking about the bible)

so unless it on film you will say that Torres and Steve and jamie are bullshitting if theu say it in their books ? what if Rafa also says it in his book that is meant to be coming out at the end of the year? (going by what his agent hinted at when asked what Rafa was going to be doing during the world cup)

as for the bible, well if you look into into it most of it is based on fact, but its how you read the fact make your view on the bible, we have proof that most events in it did take place and why they took place, even more so if you look at the old  testament, The Crossing the Red Sea we now understand that it happend during a tsunami and thats why the sea seemed to part them rushed back in.

Let him go if that's what he wants but only if it's at least a £60 million fee.  After the Rafa experience the club doesn't need any more figures inside Anfield who are under the impression that they're bigger than the the club. The team and Hodgson needs players who are committed to the cause. We all know about the betrayal of the Americans but Gerrard is staying and if Torres can't pull in and play for the club any more then he should go end of.

I think its time we all just accepted that Nando is angling for a move for his own reasons
Other leading players who have committed to the club have had to put up with the same :censored: and broken promises as he has
FFS so have we, but we haven't thrown the towel in!
I just wish he has enough about him to come out and say he wants out whatever the clubs future plans are instead of this nonsense hes putting the club and the fans through.
No one is bigger than the club so Nando either get on board or do one and let us move on instead of wasting everyone's time and destroying the great relationship you have with the fans.
