Off side (I think).

It's a mistake of the linesman who should be alligned with the last defence and he isn't.

I'm not loving the game of Spain compared to Luis Aragones team, to be perfectly honest.

But Portugal today were cowardly and pathetic and deserved to lose.

Do you rate Del Bosque? Some say he was lucky to inherit a sucessfull side. It's not always easy to maintain greatness. It's like France after they won Euro 2000 they were favourates for 2002 but flopped.

Spain are grinding out results though. They will get to the final.

I like the man, he's a quiet man, he's the anti whiskey nose, he wouldn't have an unrespectful word even against a 3rd division team. That's why the press love him, he would never tell them to fúck off like Aragones did.

But he has proven nothing to me. In Real Madrid he inherited Toshack's work, in Besiktas he failed miserably, and in Spain some doubts appeared in the Mickey Inter Confederation Cup.

IMHO Spain can be beaten by the wings. We're playing double holding midfielder with Alonso and Busquets and that means Xavi and Iniesta are more easily surrounded and struggle more. And with no men in the wings, we can be caught on trouble if we face a serious opposition like Argentina or Brazil.

Xavi and Iniesta struggling means that you lose the ball, and you're vulnerable. I'd preffer to give Alonso his safety pocket stuff for him alone that you know well, and bring Silva or Fabregas to help Xavi and Iniesta combine better. The security you lose without the second holding mid, you win it recovering the quality posession Spain showed in the euro cup. I'm not convinced by this system with the men available.

Torres is 10 days away of being totally fit, and that also counts.

If they can get to the final he will produce then...like he did in the Euros. That's why Fernando isn't scoring now, hell score when he needs to. :D

I was just watching the red card on the BBC website between Spain and Portugal, and to me there was nothing there. That spanish lad cheated his @ss off. I dont care who they are playing for, its just pathetic.

it was still a red card by the letter of the law for "intent" whether he actually connected or not. he tried to throw an elbow full stop.

capdevila was a diagrace though.

He also scored a fairly decent freekick against Arsenal and finished off an amazing team move with Rooney at the Emirates. Fairly sure he scored against Inter Milan, Roma and AC Milan, too. Come to think of it, wasn't he the champions league top scorer the season they won it? ???  Other than that I suppose he doesn't deliver on the big stage

Still waiting for your apology

What’s the difference between Cinderella and the England football team?
Cinderella wanted to get to the ball...

Osama bin Laden has just released a new TV message to prove he is still
alive. He said that the England Team performance on Saturday was completely
s**te. British intelligence have dismissed the claim, stating that the
message could have been recorded anytime in the last 44 years.

Robert Green - The only man to leave Africa with out catching anything .

I can't believe we only managed a draw against a s**te team we should easily
have beaten......I'm ashamed to call myself Algerian.

The England team went to visit an orphanage in South Africa this morning,
"its so good to put a smile on the faces of people with no hope, constantly
struggling, and facing the impossible" said Jamal Omboto, aged 6.

Fifa have released a statement saying the fan didn't break into the
dressing room after all, but was let in by Rob Green.

What's the difference between Rob Green's spill and BP's spill?
- Robert Green has a cap for his.

Fabio Capello was wheeling his shopping trolley across the supermarket car
park when he noticed an old lady struggling with her bags of shopping. He
stopped and asked, "Can you manage dear?" To which the old lady replied,
"No way. You got yourself into this frigging mess, don't ask me to sort it
out..."
