Hahahahahahahahaha!    I fecking love it! :buttrock  Well in, Slovakia--you rode your luck at the end but all credit for putting a poor Italian side out of their misery.  So, the two finalists from 2006 are on the first plane home...this tournament is looking better everyday.  A pity the Kiwis didn't eek through as well but that would just be getting greedy.  Hajde Slovensko! :bowdown

Only saw the 2nd 'controversial' call but the offside decision was spot on.  There can be no complaints.

Yeah they saw everything. Really good refs in that match, and against the cheating italians, slovakia needed them.

The scuffle in the goal when the italian lad when down with face cramps, my god, cheating pansy !

To be fair, he did get a crafty slap to the face from the keeper but only after he and a teammate had steamed into the fella as he was picking the ball out of his net.  He earned a little slap for that, I'd say.  I thought Webb handled it all very well...especially at the end where the Slovaks looked to beat the Italians at their own game: time-wasting.  :D

Redman in wales wrote:here's another stat for you... although they went out: New Zealand were actually unbeaten in world cup 2010 - in a group that contained Italy, paraguay and Slovakia.

Quite unlucky that, they played with good spirit.

what are the odds for Japan getting to the final, might be worth a bet, two great free kicks.

the next team they play will now try very hard not to give free kicks to them  lol.
