Sold?? Don't you mean go on a free because that is what will happen?

He has only a year left on his contract?

OK, sell him now then.

I disagree Manhattan. If he has a year left on his contract (i have no idea BTW), fair enough. But don't sell without a decent replacement. He is fit now, in fact he looks like he has lost a few pounds.

We wouldn't get much for him now anyway. Give this season to prove himself (again..). There are no excuses now, he's had the perfect preseason.

If he doesn't live up to expectations, then let him leave for free.

Harry has had a miserable time with injury; after all this is not his fault and he wants to play.
He has had a full pre season for the first time in years, and looks fit and sharp - all we need to know is if he still has the hunger and pride to wear the shirt. If so this will be a good year for him; if not he will leave.

And another one....

The thing is with all these injuries, Mr Gillett and Mr Hicks must be sitting there thinking, we are paying this guy £65,000 a week to be injured.

There is no way in a million years they will offer Kewell a new deal on his current terms unless he has an absolutely fantastic season ( which he has got in him ) and I can't see Harry hanging round for less money with the constant dross coming from his missus's mouth about him wanting to play in Spain or Italy before he finishes his career.

You'd  like to think he will be thinking he owes us something and therefore sign whatever they put in front of him (which I can't justify it being more than £30,000 a week) but sadly footballers don't think like that, whether he was a red or not.

Yeah I remember he scored a beut in that 3-0 game. Also his goal against Man City was nice. Not to mention he ran the Chelsea defence ragged in that FA Cup semi. The fans want nothing more than for Harry to have a great season but I cant see it happening with these persistent injuries.

Can anyone update me on what's the current status of Kewell's recovery?

And Fabio Aurelio's?

Kewell's one is better covered by Babel or alternatively Benayoun, but I wouldn't like Arbeloa being in the LB regularly. Not that he's done badly whatsoever, it's that I think the brazilian is a very good player and we lost him last season when he started to show some of his quality.

Anyone got any idea what’s going on with Kewell at the moment?

I haven’t heard anything official, just rumours he has another groin strain.

Aurelio's back in light training according to .tv. Could be back in contention for the first team in 2 weeks.

Great news, and straight away would add another layer of depth along the left hand side.
