Well, he originally came out of our youth system as a central forward, but because of Huntelaar he has played as left forward last season.he can pass a man and he is really fast and athletic so he can be of worth as a winger! Also he haves a very strong shot(somethimes he just need some more technique in it,but he is always working on it).
Hope he plays more soon. Here is a video of him,

U can get the best out of Babel in a 4-4-2 system.Where he has more space infront of him. Cause his strongest ability is his running. He's very fast and physicly very strong.

I noticed today that Babel uses his left foot for nothing but leaning on the ground.

I think this player is a good signing but he'll not be an inmediate impact, he needs some patience from the fans and time.

Babel is a very good striker!!! He`s very fast and against Newcastle he shows us why Benítez wanted to sgin him. I think it was a  very good game of him.

Did anyone see him at the U21 World Cup with the Netherlands? There he played so great, and thats i think some big clubs wanted to give him a contract!

Yeah I did watch u21, every match.

Babel wasnt the best player during that tournament.
I admit the media focus (hype) wás on Babel.
But he was by far the best player.

Drenthe was the most impressing player during the u21.

The UEFA chose a 'allstar team' after the tournament and Babel wasn't in that. The only 4 u21 dutch players in the allstar team were: Gianni Zuiverloon, Hedwiges Maduro, Royston Drenthe en Maceo Rigters (u21 forward topscorer).

So look now...maybe Drenthe was better then babel.
But babel is playing now way better then Drenthe (Drenthe is even not playing for real madrid)

Drenthe is not playing coz he got worldclass players in front on 'his position'.

Babel got Kewell as competition  :;):

I agree with the earlier post - he just needs a bit of time and patience. Though also Rafa & the player himself need to decide where he plays. He wants to play up front but Rafa clearly sees him as a winger. Unless this is resolved properly there will be problems ahead and he may struggle to settle. He's clearly got lots of ability,  and pace so lets hope he settle this season and kicks on from there.

His goal return is good given his starting games. I would really like to see him given a go upfront - could not understand for the life of me why we persisted with the paceless and immobile Kuyt & Voronin when Torres was out. Even if he had the first touch of Shrek (which he hasnt) a forward with pace always causes problems!
